  • Official Titans at Packers Game Day Thread

    Okay, Rats.

Last week was a plea, out of love, for the Packers to show some guts. And they did.

Now what? Do they mean it, or was that just a one-off?

Being on old school baby boomer, I still can't really get on board with this "Tennessee Titans" crap. They were the Houston Oilers. And there should still be a Houston Oilers team in the NFL. Or at least in the AFL.

But we got what we got, it is what it is. I'm not sure how pumped we can get about all this - let's be real - the Packers are 4 - 6. I remember, as a young college kid, trying to get pumped about the Packers in 1983. They'd win a game, and I'd think, "they're on their way!" But then they'd lose a game. They finished 8 - 8. Meh. But they had Lyn Dickey throwing to Jefferson and Lofton, and by golly, they had Harlan Huckleby and Bucky Scribner, too.

So they were mediocre, but they were entertaining. And they gave us hope. And if nothing else, I've learned how important hope is.

Packers by 4 or more AND both teams scoring less than 40 points. Otherwise, I am fucked.

Hope you hanging in there Fritz from one boomer to another. Not sure what to expect to be honest. Packers beat a pretty good team albeit at home. Titans are 6-3 so should be a good game is my guess.

Didn't realize this was in Green Bay, that helps the Pack.

Keisean Nixon and Randall Cobb are the only two players fielding punts in warm-ups for the #Packers.
          Aww. I miss him already.

It's pretty cold here in the Twin Cities. What's the temp in GB?

I think the short week really helps. Team will carry over momentum from Sunday.

We can safely say it's damn cold, whatever it is.

Ras, thanks for the good wishes. Are you old enough to remember Fran Tarkenton running around and torturing the Pack?

Who's that sideline reporter? Haley something? Cute.

I am probably one of only about six people who like the Packers' white-on-white unis.

Me and KYPack, maybe. He likes all-white.

I dunno about tonight. I just watched Sunday's game against Dallas yesterday and yeah, what a good win, but I didn't see much to give me confidence that the ship has been righted. Who knows - Stop the run, specifically Henry and they have a chance. BUT - I don't have much faith in this defense stopping the run.
