I lived in Hudson and I was remembering that people along border actually hated Vikings and their fans. insane, really. Actually, it was even uncool to work at a job in the twin cities, like my dad. Pretty stupid. Hatred of Illinois folks in northern WI also real.

But things have mellowed now that we all have color tvs and wear shoes

The NFL has become nationalized, turbo-charged by fantasy football. In good (bad?) old days you saw a couple games a week, so natural you focused on your own team and conference rivals.

Nowadays, I'm sorta a fan of about 5 teams. All the other teams are full of ex-packers. It's like a national pick-up game league.
