    yes

    Watson will probably never have Moss' control but he does seem more dedicated to developing his craft. Doubs, Toure, and Watson are all three in that house. We can only say that the ceiling is very high for Watson at this point and that he is def the fastest WR in the league right now: high floor, high ceiling. A very promising young room at WR.

    And Watson is playing very well right now even though he has so many areas he can improve on.

      The fact that he completely agrees with you about needing to improve in many areas bodes well for his future.

      • He's not the fastest receiver in the league, that's silly, but he is very fast and seems like he could become very good.

          He might not be the fastest (Tyreek Hill probably is), but he might be the best combination of size and speed. And he's already very good.

            you could also argue DK Metcalfe for that combo.

              I don't know. He has the best game speed based on the metrics I have read. He has a much higher percentage of top end speeds than even Hill. Maybe John Ross is faster, but it hasn't translated into anything measurable on the field.

                Christian Watson reached a top speed of 20.97 mph on his 63-yard TD reception, the fastest speed by a Packers' ball carrier this season.

                Watson has reached 20+ mph on 12 plays from scrimmage this season, trailing only Tyreek Hill (18).

                Tyreek Hill snaps: 491
                Christian Watson snaps: 224
                ======================

                This suggests to me that Watson is functionally the fastest offensive player in the league right now.

                • Yeah I guess I would say is that I don't have the data to support it but we all know he's really damn fast so who cares. He looks like he could become really good. I am very encouraged about his future at this point.

                  In the latter years was Calvin Johnson still known for his speed? He was very fast when he ran the 40 but I don't recall anyone thinking he was a speedster in the NFL. He was moreso just a giant with insane body control according to my recollection. Anyone think Watson's eventual comp is a poor man's Calvin given the size and long stride similarities? I sincerely doubt he becomes Calvin but it'll be interesting to see if Watson remains predominantly a deep threat or almost like a very fast tight end like Calvin. Also, please correct me if I am doing Calvin dirty.

                  • Lying bytch you care and Watson is going to be a rich man's moss! Calvin was more about strength IMO. SeeDubb is too fast and athletic for everyone. I think he even stretches when he is running. Might have taken some Compound V.
