Depends on whether you're thinking about playoffs or higher draft pick.

That QB though -- you never know what you'll get with him. And that defense -- they are vulnerable, and Donatell (with Pettine as a consultant) was a weird pick for DC. Felt like a safe/retread hire that wouldn't pan out, plus that side of the ball has age, and their secondary is not fast. (E.Kendricks, H.Smith, Z.Smith, P.Peterson, J.Hicks are all 30 or older)

I think they are the best executing team in the NFCN and worthy of a playoff spot. Who they play in the playoffs will matter a LOT. I don't think they can beat PHI or SF, and they got smoked by DAL. They'd be an interesting matchup vs. SEA or even TB. The NYG are so beat up they are in danger. MIN barely beat WAS but I'd take MIN in a rematch there.

That seems fair to be honest.

        No. We play them last.

Fourth tiebreaker after head to head and conference record and common opponents is strength of victory, right? If so, does anybody know how that is calculated? Because if the Lions win the next two and the Packers win out, We and They will be tied on the first three.

Strength of victory is the combined win/loss record of the teams a team has beaten. Right now, the Lions have the edge. However, the Packers still have games with the Dolphins and Vikings, and the Vikings play the Bears, so that could change. It's almost impossible to calculate all the possibilities.

Dark horse? They are the FAVORITE at this point to grab the last spot. The Commanders and Seahawks are trending the wrong way and have tough schedules left to play. The Packers still have a chance to sneak in, but they have to win the rest of their games and get some help. The Lions are playing solid football right now, and likely will soon control their own destiny to the last wild card spot.

The Lions are hot and have an easy remaining schedule. The Giants play Dallas who will have nothing to play for in week 18.

We still have a chance tho. Watson and Doubs will be nice to have together.

If we don’t make the playoffs, I hope for losses tho. A premium player at a premium position would be nice in the draft. Left tackle comes to mind.

Good to read how it is. I had been thinking it was something about points scored or margin in victories, in which case, we'd be screwed.

Yeah it's complicated, but doable. If my calculations are correct, the Lions defeated opponents are 33-37-2, while the Packers defeated opponents are 35-35 right now. That is figuring that the Bears and Vikings cancel out, because for it to end in a tie, our and the Lions records will be the same against both. It doesn't figure in what those defeated teams do in the last three weeks.

No franchise has done more to needlessly humiliate itself in 2022 than the Colts.
