They better not, there is already one too many exceptions to the strict ownership rules.

To be fair, Mark Davis basically inherited the team and that's where the Davis money is. AFAIK they don't really own any/many other meaningful businesses. Owning the team is what makes him rich.

Yeah but Mark Davis also serves in a leadership role with the team and is involved in the league. Maybe he could be more, but that's a non zero contribution.
