  • 2023 7th Round Pick #232 CB Carrington Valentine

    CB
    Carrington Valentine
    6'0"
    193 lbs
    Kentucky

    Pre-Draft Analysis
Valentine is a press-man cornerback with good length and is at his best rerouting receivers at the line. Although he lacks body control to stick with receivers getting out of breaks, he's an above-average run defender with extensive special teams experience. -- Steve Muench

    Thanks for doing this Joe.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Sure thing. Didn't really think Guye would actually make 13 picks though.

I didn't either. This kid looks like a press CB and GB doesn't play that much. I continue to wonder why they draft press corners and put them into a zone-heavy scheme.
Anyway, I don't have high expectations for this dude but you never know. He's got a pretty high RAS and long arms.

This one seems a head-scratcher, unless he's a ST freak.

He got a ton of ST snaps in college, so he does have that pedigree. I kind of liked him as a late round flyer. I had a 5th/6th round grade on him. Decent size at almost 6'--with long arms. He tested well. He's also only 21 years old. He's more of a press man corner though, and Barry doesn't let his CBs play press man that much. That could be an odd fit--unless Barry shocks us all and adapts.
