What a game. The big takeaway is I'm on the hook for one more GD thread....but it will end there.
So, mistakes, errors, ugliness all around. We came out with a W though. Love showed some promise. Wicks and Reed looking like they belong. Watson and Doubs don't suck. I really like the way Love spread the ball around. The chargers know I want Barry fired so they didn't call enough running plays and dropped a bunch of passes so it looks like we played solid D....we didn't.
The nice thing is that we are seeing progress and you could envision a future where the talent on the roster is the core of several deep playoff runs. The downside is that we still have holes and lack that elite WR. We will need a revamped running back room....not next year, next week. Detroit looked ahead to their big turkey day game with us and almost lost. They will probably be at peak performance next week. I just want to play them tough and have Love keep showing promise. I also want Yosh to be the LT without rotating in a lesser player. Adam....you admitted you are wrong by rotating them, now take the big step of correcting your mistake by simply playing the better player. You are only hurting the development of Love at this point.
Other hot takes I'll save for the next 3 days. The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary -- Vince Lombardi
