  • Devondre Campbell quitting on the team??

... made some curious "Me first" type comments today. (Won't play through injuries anymore, tired of being blamed, will think of himself first, etc.)

    How should Gute/LF respond?
    Cut him?
    IR?
    Ignore?

They'll try to keep it internal. But if Campbell's comments are just the tip of the iceberg of player sentiments, that may be hard to do.

We had some other comments on this here. https://packerrats.com/showthread.ph...17#post1147417

That's sort of in contrast to Rasul Douglas, who wasn't playing significantly worse and who supposedly was a positive influence on the team. And inexplicably, they let him go.

Campbell probably got some very justified criticism, and he's reacting badly to it. He probably shouldn't be (and probably won't be) cut for his remarks. He maybe should, though, be cut for his shitty play. I'm pretty sure McDuffie woulda played better than Campbell. Somebody said he has lost a step. That's probably true, and worse, he doesn't seem to realize it. That pass play in Sunday's game where he lunged and nearly got it, then the guy went for a long gain, if he had even compensated for his lost step, he could have at least kept it to a single digit gain.

Of course, directly or indirectly, Joe Barry probably deserves the blame for this situation same as everything else.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Bench to humilate then cut in the off-season.

Joe Barely’s schemes kinda hang him out to dry.

Don’t think Campbell will be back next year. Guess it depends on who Campbell’s talking about. The fans? Team docs? Coaches?
