This was quite a game. We saw a LOT of good from McCarthy as well as a LOT that brought back bad memories from his Packer years - way too much running on early downs, questionable playcalling in general, poor clock and timeout management, etc., basically playing not to lose - which of course, resulted in what? not losing hahahaha - much like the large majority of his games with the Packers.
The other thing that stood out to me was Cowboy pass defense. I don't know whether Joe Whitt or Al Harris gets the credit. Trevon Diggs last year and Daron Bland this year, all those jumped routes/often pick sixes. Tonight, it was basically there 3rd and 4th Corners (4th and 5th if you count Diggs who has missed most of the season injured). Both of those relatively unknown guys pulled off the same kind of thing Al Harris used to do for the Packers. THAT is the reason I've been pushing Harris or maybe Whitt for consideration as Packer DC.What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

I saw that "belt buckle" and almost fell of the couch. WTF Jimmy.Originally posted by MadtownPacker View PostLions just called a stupid run. They are trending down big time.
The halftime showed all the cowboys HOF then shows Jimmy Johnson off to the side next to a cheerleader putting his belt on like he just got his D blown.

It was balls before the penalty. Then going for it from the 7 was where balls turns to stupidity. Then with a 3rd try I could go either way.Originally posted by KYPack View PostWhat did ya think of Campbell going for 2 and the win?
I dug it.
Fat Mike has shown his time management skills are as legendary as ever.
After seeing those 2 diving interceptions, I'm on board with our next DC being the Dallas DB coach. The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary -- Vince Lombardi

Ha! I was laughing too. Mofo was smiling big so you gotta wonder. Then he went off on his speech. Unless it was my local station they blanked out a few seconds of cussing right? You have to question if Michael Irvin didn’t break him off a line before the half.Originally posted by bobblehead View PostI saw that "belt buckle" and almost fell of the couch. WTF Jimmy.

With 23 seconds left, if Detroit had kicked to tie it, Dak woulda completed a couple passes, and Aubrey woulda kicked about a 65 yarder to win it.Originally posted by MadtownPacker View PostI liked it the first two times. When it came down to the 3rd try I said go to OT.What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Half the reason I logged in today was to see if anyone pointed out how Jax was handling that juggernaut. Thanks for not disappointing.Originally posted by Teamcheez1 View PostJax shutting Carolina out into the 4th qtr………The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary -- Vince Lombardi

Full circle.Originally posted by Anti-Polar Bear View PostHoly shit, might come down to a Crosby kick to save the Packers season.
Bears trying to spoil ARodg visiting lambeau next season by continuing to win. Rodgers playing the bears would also be entertaining. The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.
