News: DC Defenders OG Liam Fornadel has workouts with the Green Bay Packers & New England Patriots this week, per source.
Fornadel was tremendous for the
@XFLDefenders
, playing every snap without allowing a sack.
His 79.1 Off. Grade via

Most years we are still thinking about what positions they need to upgrade, try to sign some veteran to plug a hole. Devondre Campbell a few years ago, for example. But what position needs more bodies this year?
None that I can see, at least until injuries kick in.
And Wayne Simmons - a man amongst boys. Hope we see a bit of that this year with the youngsters."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

I WOULD STILL LIKE TO SEE A TACKLE AND A CORNER, I ALSO WOULDN'T MIND A VET LB IF ONE BECOMES AVAILABLEOriginally posted by Fritz View PostMost years we are still thinking about what positions they need to upgrade, try to sign some veteran to plug a hole. KC player suffers a seizure in a team meeting. https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/06/sport...son/index.html. I hope they can get things sorted out medically, but given the unpredictable nature of seizures, he might be forced to retire from this.2025 Ratpickers champion.

He had a pretty bad heart attack in the process from what I read. I would say in likelihood his career is over. In a vacuum I don't think Hamler would have ever played another snap, but the NFL didn't want to hang a young guy out to dry before he even had a shot at a second contract. Him being allowed back on the Buffalo roster was a PR move, not a medical/football move. This guy didn't have his issue on national TV so he will be thrown to the scrap heap like used underwear.Originally posted by MadScientist View PostKC player suffers a seizure in a team meeting. https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/06/sport...son/index.html. Also, Hamler's problem was caused by a known phenomenon of a hard chest compression at the wrong time of the heartbeat. It's incredibly rare and caused by an external event. Once he recovered, there was no more risk to him than anyone else on the field. Thompsons' problem was entirely internal to him, and harder to mitigate. But I do agree that the push to get Hamler back on the field was increased because the event happened on TV.Originally posted by bobblehead View PostHe had a pretty bad heart attack in the process from what I read. Sad news. Condolences to the families of those who died. Fuck drunk drivers.
For Packers players, unless your wife is having a baby, stay off the roads at 3am. Good things don't happen at that hour.2025 Ratpickers champion.
