  • Jayden Reed

Jayden Reed had a fantastic initial season. He set a rookie record for all time receiver production, Sterling Sharpe was a brilliant WR for GB. Jayden shattered Sharpes rookie total By 9 catches He scored 8 TD’s. Reed chipped two more TD’s on rushing attempts. Working primarily out of the slot (Reed aligned there on 72.3% of his routes, the seventh-highest slot rate out of the 289 players who ran at least 100 routes last season), Reed emerged as Jordan Love's top target. He also averaged over 2 yards per route run, which historically a highly encouraging sign for rookie receivers. What struck me was his level of speed, quickness and overall level of sophistication. He is the kind of guy who finds grass, openings in the defensive coverage, and gaps in the D to find holes and breaks in making Yac. He seems to have a great humbleness about him. He is fast at game speed.

He is a hard worker, has a positive attitude. The kid will throw some jarring blocks and is simply a hard working football player

Your impassioned speech made me change my pick on Bretskys top three WR pole.

I really like that Reed and Wicks were working together in the off season to learn each other's strengths:

The goal, according to Reed, was to dig into each other's toolbox and see what they could incorporate into their own game. Reed gained insight into Wicks' in-steps and releases while providing his fellow wideout with tips on how he breaks off routes.

Both of the forum's "Mad Men" responded to this one.

Really like Reed. I meant to cover all of our young gun Receivers, but that would require a huge post. We've got an embarrassment of riches at the ball catching corp. Our TE's really show a ton of potential and deserve a thread of their own.

I was watching a game at mid season last year. Love had shown progression but wasn't a complete QB in all his throws. He hadn't been particularly accurate in throws to his left, outside the numbers. In the game I was watching, Love made two such throws to keep a drive alive. Both tosses were to Reed. This kid is like a 5 year vet as a rookie. He's shown skills, leadership and being a team guy first. He is bonding with Wicks which is also to the good.

Can't wait to see these young guys go to work next season.

          Love the comparable game

Reed reminds me of Greg Jennings
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Gregory is a Western Michigan guy. Reed a State guy.

Maybe that means Reed will have some good public opinion when he leaves. Old Greg does not spark joy.

Reed was a Western Michigan guy before he was a State guy. So who knows?

It's amazing how Guter has transformed the receiving room the last couple of years, both at wide receiver and tight end.

Guter got off to a rocky start and had a couple of poopy drafts early on, but the last two or three have been really good drafts. Maybe he's found his footing.

KY is powerful. One day it's a nice post on Jayden Reed, the next day Reed's out with a toe injury.

Wish I'd known KYPack back when I was fighting with my ex.

Maybe he can jump on a Bears forum and talk about Caleb.

Hasn't he already been jinxed enough by being drafted by the Bears? Their track record in developing QBs is slightly less than stellar.

Slightly less than a kick in the balls.
