Excuse me sir for interrupting all the smart white man talk but I think a 2 would be an instant yes.

You say that because you think they can find a Mexican to do the job at a lower cost.

Willis is decent, but his quality level is inflated by the fact that the whole team is loaded. Great if we can get a fairly high pick for him. I doubt it would be a 1 or 2. Just keep him around until he needs to get paid too much. Then let him go - finding an adequate back up isn't that hard to do, especially if you consider the unlikelihood that the back up would get much use.
Yet that highly loaded team lost to PHI with Love starting.

Not saying that Willis is better or that PHI isn’t leaps and bounds better than IND and Tenn. You can only play the teams you are scheduled with the players available that week.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

            True.

And yes, if someone offers Gute a R2 next offseason for Willis you take it and scour for another project. I think someone in their pro personnel department is really good based on activity under Gute (The Smiths, Amos, Campbell, Rasul, McKinney, Willis)

Many teams draft talented QBs and ruin them. There are a number of QBs on their 3rd or 4th team who are winning games because they have better coaching and surrounding talent.
Also, maybe players are going to see what GB helped Willis do and want to come to GB for that coaching/support structure/potential opportunity to revive their career. Few players play all 17 games in a season.

Circling back in this. Willis just keeps balling. I think be's gonna get a chance to start somewhere.

If we do trade him, we better get plenty for him - I mean like minimum of a first round pick. If no team will pay that, then keep him.

Willis is a free agent after this year. He will likely sign a low end starter level contract with someone and Packers will get 4-5 round comp pick in 2027.

Assuming they don't sign a comparable free agent.

Not sure they can at this point

lol. They got a third and fifth for Brunell back in the day. You'd be lucky to get as much for Willis even if the Packers controlled his destiny.

I see Brunell as a fair comparison, but Willis is UFA so we get zip now. I've said it before. I'd make Ted Thompson blush by trading Love for as much as I could get (3 firsts?) and lock up Willis. I like the play calling and style better with him in there. MiLF actually seems to remember that play action is legal.

Honestly I'd take a three firsts deal in a heartbeat. Not to go full Skinbasket, but despite the numbers, Love's ceiling just isn't top 10 quarterbacking. Of course, the reason they would never do such a thing is that they are fearful of getting lower tier QBing, instead of competent. Probably also know Halftrack will be leaving and can't rely on the D.

The cheapest move would be to sign Hafley to a huge Coordinator deal for 3 years.

I think we got Lucky with how good Love is, but Willis on a much smaller salary with a load of high draft picks seems like a good deal too. My concern with Willis is how he does reading defenses adjusting once there's more tape on him. I think he'd be fine, but it's a risk for sure.
