I seem to recall Packers having a lot of penalties on offense early last year too. It was leading to a lot of bad down and distance. Plenty of time to clean this up.

Last year Packers had 26 penalties for 220 yards in their first 3 games. Relax everybody.

... and didn't they finish the year among the more penalized in both number and yardage?
They went from averaging about 9 penalties per game first 3 weeks to averaging less 6 the rest of the season. They weren't great, but there was progress. Enough progress that it ceased being a big problem.

Are penalties up across the league? The emphasis on illegal formation is pretty lame if you ask me.
“The number of penalties called against the offense over the first two weeks of the season has increased every year for the last three years, from 183 in 2022, to 196 in 2023, to 217 this year. At the same time, the number of defensive penalties has steadily declined from 168 in 2022, to 159 in 2023, to just 138 in 2024.“
