Love had Jacobs for an easy 1st on 3rd and 4 to start the 2nd half. He went to Wicks and it was ruled incomplete on review.

Jacob was literally standing in the flat with no one within 10 yards.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Bad luck for Watson. What came to mind is that next year is the last year that Watson is under contract.
A lot will happen between now and then, but we will be making a decision in the next 18 months whether to resign him.

Same rules as after a safety and a team has to punt to the team making the safety.
        ahhhh

i forgot about the fair catch

As poorly as our offense played, we still managed 29 points (which should have been 35).
I still feel good about this season.
Love and the offense will be more in sync.
The defense is a work in progress, but they have the pieces.

Welp, 2-2 is better than 1-3, but 3-1 would have been nice.

I missed the game and glad I did. Sounds like I would have found something else to do at half-time. I just hope they bounce back next week.

No thinking about it. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go on the IR to return.

Even with back ups at the Corners, I wish Hafley had gone to blitz way earlier and more often. It worked wonders last week and may very well have done the same against Darnold. At any rate, it couldn't have been much worse than letting them march right down the field too many times.

I thought the Packers got shafted on 2 of the 3 catch or not replays. One was made up for, though, on McKinney's interception.

A lot of times, a near miss comeback like this can lead to good things in future games. Hopefully that's what happens this time.

The defensive ends are also way, way underperforming. Half-Assley shouldn't have to constantly send blitzers to get pressure. Van Ness is not developing, Gary has been barely mediocre, Smith and Enagbare not great either.

Big reason for the loss was how much time Darnold had in the pocket. And he's not a big runner, so you can't use the "we have to stay disciplined in our rushes cuz he can run" excuse.

I'm old and must've missed the rule change where a muffed punt recovery is not a touchdown? Crazy sequence to get that score.

Matt LaFleur got flagged for a 15-yard penalty for basically telling the refs to go fuck themselves.

Aaron Jones kept out of the end zone.

Nixon's blitz-sack-fumble on Darnold was quite enjoyable.

Muff rule is not new. Can't advance a muff. Just doesn't happen very often.

MLF said he did not use foul language. So he didn't even get his money's worth. Damn.

Agree about Jones not scoring. I was at the game and didn't want to witness a purple Lambeau Leap by him.

Unfortunately, Nixon's sack/fumble was pretty much the extent of the Packers pass rush for the day.

they asked love after the game if the one int was intended for musgrave or doubs

he said he was throwing to doubs

musgrave jumped up for it, tipped it, it ends up going slightly behind doubs you can't get a hold of it and it gets picked off. after the play doubs was very upset on the sideline, even looked like he spiked his helmet

On the INT where Watson got hurt, that wasn't on Love either. Watson and Musgrave ran their routes very close together. The LB who had Musgrave was able to peel off and make the play which both injured Watson and became an INT. https://x.com/i/status/1840779755773104575

Also, on the 4th down play where Love threw deep to Wicks in the end zone, Wicks should have come down with the ball. The ball hit him in the shoulder pad. https://x.com/i/status/1840564404389023823

Not saying Love was great, but his receivers weren't doing him many favors.

Seems like Musgrave needs to get his head out of his ass. And Watson needs to get his ankle out of his ass.

But I think the offense will be okay. It's going to take time.

In the meantime I'm wondering how that international PS kicker is doing . . .

Mostly though I'm wondering what the hell happened to the vaunted defensive end depth. Can't tell you how many times I heard Wayne Larivee say "Darnold back. He's looking . . . looking . . . still looking . . . "

All this crap about being turned loose, get upfield, free us to do our thing, blah blah blah. WTF is wrong? Rashan Gary's done it before, but right now he's doing nothing. Smith is Smith. Van Ness does not seem to be developing - is he going to be a dud? Enagbare playing like a third-stringer. The only way they get pressure seems to be via blitzing.

You could tell he was itching to do it. Went hard that last run when he got stopped short of the 1st. Might have been the highlight of the game for me.
