Gee, does that sound like the Aaron Rodgers we knew for so many years? Yes, yes it does.
I thought I read that Lazard dropped a few passes too.

I don’t miss Rodgers one bit. Aside from the NE game, Rodgers has not played well. Still knocking the rust off, or deteriorating skills?

          @gregauman

NFC teams are 15-9 against AFC teams in 2024.

NFL divisions by non-division record so far:

          NFC North: 13-4
          AFC West: 8-4
          NFC East: 8-6
          NFC South: 6-7
          AFC North: 7-10
          AFC South: 5-8
          AFC East: 5-9
          NFC West: 5-9

Time to make targeting an ejection penalty. That hit on Fields was brutal.

It was absolutely pouring in Pittsburgh before the game. Watched a bit of it at the start and the field seems to be holding up quite well. Does anyone know what the playing surface is there? Wikipedia entry is hard to decipher, it might be sod on top of Grassmaster? I don't think it's sod, no one seemed to be making divots.

Grassmaster is basically the same thing that Green Bay has - natural grass with fibers to keep it in place. That would fit what we are seeing in this game.

Looking at the Steeler's depth chart, Wilson is still listed as the first string QB. I can't see him having a very solid hold on that position

I didn't see the Rasul play, but they all get smoked from time to time. I'd still take him back for Hopper? Hooper? (who we drafted with the pick) in a beat.

Yeah but he caught the tv remote when his Momma threw it to him. Unlike your man on offense Wicks.

Am not surprised by this. In fact, I might have called it after last week's game given his workload. He'll be fine thought - Vikes have a bye to get healthy.

All the same, consider he left the (Game 2) SF game with sore ribs with 14 touches, then had 24 and 26 touches vs HOU and GB... for Jones that's a lot of work. The Vikes are a different team without a good run game, and they don't have much without Jones. When the snow flies we'll see he is healthy.

As for Rodgers, he cracked 200 yards but 3 picks is a LOT for him. He looks creaky out there, but he's a quick processor and can shift around in the pocket enough to be effective. He still has a handful of throws per game where he looks like a top 10 QB, but he is a far way from MVP level. One Vikings fans joked that every time he got sacked it looked like part of his soul left his body. He got hit a LOT and Hackett's scheme didn't help him: they couldn't run the ball with Breece Hall and freaking Brealon Allen, and are asking their ancient QB to throw 40-50 times each week. A recipe for schaudenfruede perhaps, but not success.
