For the first time in a long time, watching Packer D was actually fun. We would have lost this game for sure with Joe Barry.
McManus looks smooth and effortless as a kicker. Everything was a strain with Narveson, and Carlson just never looked smooth or with good form.
I saw some things I really didn't like with Love today. He got away from the Rodgers level of caution about throwing picks, and it almost cost the Packers the game.
Preston Smith and McDuffie were weak links on an otherwise up and coming good D. Bullard also doesn't do much.
Yes, the O Line was generally kinda mediocre, but several things: the pass rush on Love came mainly from the outside, and not just on Walker, partly on Tom too. And the run game, the Packers are second only to Baltimore in rushing yards per game, and a lot of Baltimore's are Lamar Jackson. And where was almost all of that running success? Again today, it was right up the middle behind the guy some of ya'all love to piss and moan about - just sayin' .....What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

I figured they went for 2 to tie the game up.Originally posted by King Friday View PostHe also just missed an extra point. Still the same sucky Anders. But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Oddly, it did make me feel better. We'd hate to see him turn into a good kicker for a hated opponent after wasting a year "developing" him here.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostHe just did that so we wouldn't feel so bad. The first pick was just a terrible decision. Doubs was wide open on an out at the sticks and yet Love forced the throw into tight coverage. Even worse, Doubs was on the same side of the field so Love should have seen it.Originally posted by bobblehead View PostI watched the game in a bar which I hate cuz I miss too much, but instant takeaways for me:
Wilson needs to play more. Like EvanW he earned it.
McAnus proved to be the right call and I am going with McAnus cuz its funny.
Love needs to stop throwing picks. Thats it until I rewatch it alone.

I just saw that Jacob's TD catch was the first one of his career. 6th season in the league, feature back since his rookie season, 208 receptions. How is that even possible?--

If Carlson or Narveson do well elsewhere, there will be a question of whether the problem was the kicker, or the Packers' ability to develop a young kicker.Originally posted by Fritz View PostOddly, it did make me feel better. Someone please tell Hafley he shouldn't pick his nose while the camera is zoomed in all close up directly on his face.
Where was Watson all game? Did he even have a target? A catch?
I read somewhere that Whelan had an historic day punting, but found no analysis. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Eight penalties, three turnovers and zero takeaways - the Packers had no business winning this one, yet here we are."Everyone's born anarchist and atheist until people start lying to them" ~ wise philosopher

Watson was targeted twice. Had 1 catch for 9 yards. He was the target on Love's 2nd INT.
Daniel Whelan punted five times today for 284 yards, a 56.8-yard gross average that is the second-best single-game average in team history behind only Roy McKay’s 61.6-yard average on five punts vs. the Chicago Cardinals in 1945.
Packers winning the types of games they lost last year. They were 2-5 at this point last year with 3 of the losses by 1, 4 and 2 points.I can't run no more
