Let’s talk about what really matters, who is going to start the new thread streak? Do we call up Bretsky already or wait until the last month?

Matt LaFleur tells me he’s “optimistic” that Jaire Alexander, Evan Williams and Josh Myers will all play Sunday in Chicago coming off the bye but will give them the week. All three missed the Lions game.

I always prefer to do it when its a short term obligation, not like currently when its about to be a job through February, but if no one steps up by 9am I might give it a go.

Oh...and also we are going to beat the bears. The only thing I am looking for in this game is Love making smart decisions.

I think we save Bretsky for the end-of-the-season run.

As for the game, it looks like another typical Bears' team - good defense, good special teams, lousy offense, though that might not be due to Caleb Williams's not being good enough, but to his offensive line sucking hard and Williams being a rookie.

But the fans are getting restless with the coaching staff, so that adds a fun element for us Packer fans.

Imagine how panicked we'll be, though, if the Bears' offensive line doesn't allow a single sack. I don't know why Kenny Clark and Rashan Gary, the two highly paid defensive line guys, can't do much these days in terms of sacks.

I'm hoping Lukas The Mess gets his act together now that he's going to get more snaps, but he hasn't seemed to show much progress yet, and we're halfway through season two. But maybe it'll come together. We'll see.

Quay Walker, on the other hand, is starting to look like another mediocre first-round pick by the Packers. He might be okay, but he's not good.

Clark is my big disappointment. They are asking EDGEs to collapse the pocket and not allow the QB to escape. Clark and Wyatt are supposed to be penetrating to force the issue, but Clark is invisible and Wyatt is ok, not great at it.

What about me? I had the R E L A X season with the playoff run where I ran a marathon in the morning and had the game day thread ready to go.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Now I'm concerned. I appreciate your posts, but anyone that chooses to willingly run a marathon isn't right in the head.

Is it better to unwillingly run a marathon?

The OL plan for the stretch run needs to start coming together with this warmup game against a wilting Bears team that will fade quickly if they are punched in the face. Running the ball with efficiency will take pressure off Love. This team has the capability to pound teams into submission, and that is what they need to do on Sunday.

Being forced to run it is probably worse, but it doesn't mean you WANTED to subject yourself to that much pain and monotony.

Sometimes it works out. See above.

Good thing I didn’t mention the Ironman I completed in the early 2000s.
