Two OC’s fired by the Bears this year. Luke Getsy was fired in January.
Methinks that Eberflus is the real problem.

Well one of the real problems, anyway. Complete mistake to keep him after showing nothing previously, instead of a fresh start with a new HC, OC and QB, and give them a couple of seasons to grow together.

Bears are firing offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and handing over playcalling duties to passing game coordinator Thomas Brown.

With Brown calling plays in 2023, Bryce Young and the Panthers scored 30 points in a near upset of the Packers in December. However, the Panthers ranked 31st in scoring and 32nd in yards gained last season.

Bears have never fired a HC in season allegedly, and if that's true they likely want to keep that tradition alive. McCaskeys aren't super rich and probably don't want to eat that contract, which is up soon anyway. Eberflus will be gone when the season ends, Waldron was running a bad scheme but firing him now is basically rearranging the Titanic's deck chairs. The OL is very beat up so they are playing OL depth guys, and their starters weren't great. Caleb has good skill players but Caleb has started to get happy feet and see ghosts, his footwork is off and that's impacted play timing (and his accuracy).

I don't know much about Thomas Brown, even if he put up 30 on a Barry defense, that doesn't mean he's competent. You could have Red (drunk late in the 4Q) call a good game against a Barry defense. I do wonder if a new voice will give the offense a modest bounce, and the Bears probably are a desperate team, so that makes them dangerous. I do agree that if you can jump on them early and punch them in the face they might not put up much fight. They haven't been good offensively, so 21 points should be enough to win.

Jordan Love absolutely needs to start making better choices with the ball. If he can do that and this team starts to gel they can make another run.

This will be interesting. Packers will be going up against an OC they faced last year, but is the Bears offense schematically similar to that Carolina offense? Bears OC will be facing Packers again, but a very different Packer defense than the one he faced last year.

Can we hire their OC as consultant for the week?

                    Why?

That Bear offense got neutered by a hapless Traitor D. If Haf-fucked’s unit can’t at least neutralize the same O, might as well can the man and bring in Sideshow Bob (Saleh).

Now the question is, who will start at QB? I just saw this:

With the Bears slumping to a three-game losing streak in which Williams has not thrown a touchdown, a group of anonymous veterans approached Eberflus and general manager Ryan Poles to make the change at offensive coordinator. The group also wanted Williams benched for backup Bagent...

Uh oh. That sounds like a dumpster fire - anonymous vets asking for coaches to be fired and QB's to be benched.

It'll be interesting to see how the Packers' defensive line does against an undermanned Bears' offensive line. See if the young bucks (Mosby and Cox) get any snaps along with Van Mess, and see if they have more success.

The Bears' defense and special teams are of course good, so that should keep things tight - but it's also time for Love & Co. to start playing cleaner on the offensive side of the ball - the interceptions, the drops, the penalties. And you can't afford to lose another division game here, no a winnable one like this one.

He and Matt worked together in LA. It’s like when teams sign veterans cut by their opponent to their team before they play. It’s a dig more than anything.

                            What a complete dumpster fire.

Jim and Pat on 'Moving the Chains' who are generally pretty level headed, were losing their minds yesterday, absolutely excoriating the players for this BS.

Pretty clear, 'Flus has lost this team.

I just hope the Packers players aren't spending a bunch of time on social media reading about how dysfunctional the Bears are.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears released veteran guard Nate Davis on Wednesday, the team announced.

Davis, 28, is now subject to waivers. Any team that claims the offensive lineman is responsible for paying the remaining $3.9 million Davis is due in fully guaranteed salary.

The move comes three days after Davis was a late addition to the injury report ahead of the Bears' 19-3 loss to the New England Patriots. Davis reported back tightness to team trainers on Sunday morning, was ruled out and sent home because "we don't want a guy standing on two feet with a back issue," according to coach Matt Eberflus.

Davis was not on the injury report during Chicago's week of practice ahead of the New England game.
