    I didn't know where else to put this but I read it just now and found it interesting:

    Seems like an old school, throwback kind of strategy but perhaps everything old is new again. Kinda like the much hated resurgence of the unflattering Mom-Jeans worn by the ladies.

    Homegrown is fine by me as long as it's good quality and it's effective.

      OL play is pretty synergistic. Knowing the system and what the guy next to you is going to do on any given stunt is everything. Keeping 5 guys in the system and having them play off each other is more important than anything except possibly QB/WR synergy. It could explain why our OL sum is greater than the parts. Also explains why a guy like Rhyan couldn't find the field, but has become serviceable with time in the system. He is still a below average pass blocker, but he seems to handle his responsibilities to the minimum which is just enough. Add in that he has become a really good run blocker and a "flop" has become an asset. Ok, gotta go shower, I feel dirty after complementing Rhyan.

        Yes indeed.
        As Neil Young crooned;
        Homegrown's alright with me
        Homegrown is the way it should be
        Homegrown is a good thing

          Okay, the Packers’ using all homegrown O-linemen is WAY better than the resurgence of mom jeans. Anything is better than the resurgence of mom jeans. Anything.

          On another note, I see that writers think Quay Walker played maybe his best game as a Packer last week. Please football gods don’t let that be an anomaly.
