  • Studs And Duds - Packers vs. 49ers

    Studs

Josh Jacobs - He destroyed 49ers will to fight.

Quay Walker - Great at running plays down all day.

Xavier McKinney - Game was very much in doubt until his INT. Also had great pass defensed on pass to McCaffrey.

    Duds

Jordan Love - Several turnover-worthy plays. Doesn't seem to be seeing the field well right now.

Christian Watson - Gotta catch that ball, son.

We’re still at winning despite our QB. Which would be fine if he was paid proportionally, but he’s not. Again, dood was literally set up for success, but instead he sucks the success out of every set. I would put him in the studs category for not throwing a pick, but he tried his best again. Best $250 million turd there ever was. So glad I was banned last season for pointing that out.

You’re a crying little victim of your own making but I won’t say you are wrong about Love’s play. He also almost has a big fumble that he got the lucky bounce on. Once Watson dropped that big pass before half Love got careless and/or inaccurate. Strong effort by the defense and Jacobs abusing the niners defense bailed him out.

      Studs

Both big FA signing, Jacobs killing the defense and McKinney shutting that shit down when needed. When was the last time the Packers had two big free agents work out this well?

      Duds

Love for allowing one of the worst creatures on this planet to say “I told you so” and overall inconsistent and sometimes shitty play on the actual field.

I ain’t get the Love disses.

Game plan was obvious that boring smash mouth shit. Watson dropped a perfect bomb-6. Catch the motherfucking rock, and Love’s playa of the weeka. Threw another perfect would-be TD to Doubs - Doubs got mugged. No picks. Packers scored more times than Tyrion Lannister in a brothel on any given night.

All in all, the Lovemaker made plenty of love. Know who makes lots of love? A fucking stud. Lovemaker’s stud against the 69ers, no doubt.

Skin, you are conveniently leaving out the second part of your argument: that Sean Clifford is a better QB than Jordan Love.

So I don't think your "I told you so" carries much weight.

His opinion on the matter carries next to no weight. Its not only "moving the goal posts" but it comes across as hysterical and attention starved. Came across this for those that are into this kind of thing:

                Through 25 NFL starts:

                Completion Percentage

Love: 63.6 percent. Rodgers: 63.7 percent. Favre: 63.5 percent.

                Passing Yards

                Love: 6,240. Rodgers: 6,482. Favre: 5,386.

                Passing Touchdowns

                Love: 48. Rodgers: 45. Favre: 31.

                Touchdown percentage

Love: 5.7 percent. Rodgers: 5.4 percent. Favre: 3.8 percent.

                Interceptions

                Love: 22. Rodgers: 18. Favre: 30.

                Interception percentage

Love: 2.4 percent. Rodgers: 2.2 percent. Favre: 3.7 percent.

                Yards Per Attempt

                Love: 7.5. Rodgers: 7.8. Favre: 6.6.

                Passer Rating

                Love: 94.4. Rodgers: 96.6. Favre: 79.7.

                Record

                Love: 14-11. Rodgers: 11-14. Favre: 15-9.

Rodgers was one of the all time greats. Love him or hate him, he is a top 10 all time QB in a league that has been around a long time. Through 25 Love is right there with him. That isn't saying Love takes the next step Rodgers did, and I think we lean on the run game more than we did with Rodgers, but he is a QB you can win with. He is just overpaid in all likelihood (but then again about 20 NFL QBs are overpaid).

I’m not leaving it out. It’s no longer relevant. But no, I wouldn’t take it back either. During the time in question I fully believe the team would have won more games with Clifford at QB than Love. Anyway, now we just have a Bears level QB with a HOF price tag.

Also, as noted previously, Willis looked just as comfortable running this offense after 2 weeks as dipshit does after 4 and a half years.

Pretty eye opening. If Love starts being a hair more careful with the ball, we're gonna' be just fine.

If Watson catches that TD pass, would it change Love to a stud?

I put Love in the dud category because he was darn lucky to avoid needless turnovers. But it was probably an overreaction because he could just as easily have had 4 TD passes. Still think he's putting the ball in danger too much. I wonder what kind of grade Tom Clements gives him after a game like this, and whether it has any effect.

                            I don't disagree, at all.

Love is playing like the 4th best QB in our division. We didn’t pay him as a franchise QB to play middling football.
I believe he has the potential, but the results haven’t been there this year.
