  • Studs and Duds, Packers have a Dolphin Dinner, Thanksgiving 2024:

    Stud:

NBC for ensuring the turkey didn't get raped by a broadcaster and for hiring LeRoy Butler for the job.

Jordan Love - His best most consistent game of the year.

Tucker Kraft - King of yards after contact.
    I can't run no more
    With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

JJ (Jacobs) for grinding the defense all game long, again!

Mosby for that killer sack when the big stop was needed.

Watson came up with big drive continuing catches. Could not be denied on the deep pass he fully extended to get.

Kraft will be in the Pro-Bowl soon, APRH.

On Reed's Jet Sweep, TK took not one but two defenders out of the play.

Dude is a straight up Lakota Warrior.

Best TE we've had in my memory. He's more complete than any that I remember and I'm going back to Paul Coffman. Maybe KY or Patler or Fritz can remember a better one.

Biggest Dud was only scoring 6 points in the 2nd half AND allowing QB Tua Tagovailoa to go 37-of-46 for 364 yards with two TDs and a 114.1 rating.
          WTF is that all about.

Don’t mention scoring only 6 points in the second half. I was lambasted for suggesting that was an issue in the game thread.

Might catch some flack for saying it here also.

If the refs throw the flag for DPI, which they should have, we score on 3 of 4 drives in the 2nd half.

I would guess MiLF dialed the play calling back a little in the 2nd half with such a big lead when a couple of FG makes the other team have to score 27 in the 2nd half to tie.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

We moved the ball. We should’ve gotten a DPI. Wicks was 6 inches from a TD. You specifically called out the effort of the team, and I think that is a pile of bullshit.

We gave up 17 points the whole damn game . You cannot cherry pick scoring as the metric for GB on offense and then use yards and QB rating for GB defense.

Well, you CAN, but you shouldn't.

I'm not that bent out of shape for being outscored 14-6 in the second half, not with the lead GB had. They were up 24-3 and MIA got the ball to start the 3Q.
They held MIA to 39 yards rushing. A lot of Tua's yardage was in the 4Q when the game was largely decided and their 2nd TD was on a tipped ball with 3 minutes left in the game.

Tua has been on a heater since coming back from his concussion - completing something like 70%+ of his throws. They are not a bad offense at all.
And yet GB was the better team by almost every measure in this game.
