I really don't know what to make of this game. I could see just about any scenario occurring - tight game, blowout either way. I think the Packers showed some signs of life in the last two weeks - maybe they'll be ready to make a run? But the Lions are playing better than any Lions team since probably Bobby Layne days. Gonna be a good one. I think.

My 2 cents worth:

In pro golf the Masters is a major Major (IMHO), and it's widely recognized the tournament doesn't begin in earnest until the back nine on Sunday. Well, here we are in the first week of December when the rubber meets the road in the NFL. Time to stick a peg in the ground on the 10th hole.

Defense:
The old hackneyed cliche is defense wins championships. The reason it is an old hackneyed cliche is because there is a whole lotta truth to it. Hafley has done a commendable job coming in and installing a revamped defense featuring the 4-3 alignment. Some bumps in the road but overall been very respectable. I have to believe the whole scheme is not yet installed and running due to personnel and their individual talents and experience. One thing I am confident about is the whole thing begins up front, and to that point it is essential Kenny Clark and Rashan Gary both have to flick the switch and start contributing results commensurate with their pay grade. The Lions have an outstanding O-Line, running backs and receivers. Given a push on the line or time to throw the ball they can carve it up. My hope is Messrs. Clark and Gary find something. Perhaps a visit to the proctologist to have their craniums removed from their rectal cavities. When the front four wreaks havoc, the rest falls into place.

Jordon Love is starting to recover/come around. It occurred to me that a kid (yes, he's still a kid) that spent time growing up in a two room "apartment" above a monthly rental office suddenly comes into multi-generational wealth it's got to put a zap on his head. Maybe he thinks it's all on him now and he has to make the highlight play every time. Hopefully MLF and Clemens are helping him to realize otherwise. The O line is beginning to be healthy and dependable. Josh Jacobs is nursing the calf, but he is a tough nut. It would be awesome if Wilson has a breakout game to pick up the load. Not having Doubs is going to hurt for sure but if Love can spread the ball around it will be transparent. Wicks is the key - back in the day coaches made players who couldn't hold onto the ball carry one around with them 24/7. Wicks just can't always catch the ball. Maybe they should make him sleep with a jugs machine (Fritz insert line here). Other than that, we have playmakers ready to go.

Dan Campbell's rah-rah, bite 'em in the kneecap approach has a shelf life. I liken it to younger days when we could be up all freakin' night going at it hard, but eventually, inevitably the sun comes up. We called it Gods flashlight and it shone bright.

I am optimistic about this one.
