Good game. Would have been a great game if we won.

You sound like a Bears fan calling into the SCORE. The Pack is 9-4. They went on the road and played the best team in the NFC toe to toe.Originally posted by Teamcheez1 View PostMy expectations have really dropped for this team.
The offense and Love haven’t stepped up this season.
The defense has shown improvement, but not enough to matter.
We are not going anywhere in the playoffs.
Relax, take some gummies and chill a little...

Defense far too soft and incapable of getting any kind of pressure on the QB. Detroit RBs caught 342 passes at or within a few yards of the LOS and we never stopped it. Not once. At some point, you have to learn when to take chances. Our defense never does, and always comes up short against very good teams. It's such a GOOD feeling...13 TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

Except for the whole voluntary / involuntary aspect of course ... This ain't college ball Tank.Originally posted by Anti-Polar Bear View PostGoff literally took a knee on that 4th down play. Why wasn’t the play blown dead?
Ain’t much differences between taking a knee out of the victory formation and what Goff did.

Last year we were talking about which receiver was the #1, and we were so sure the depth was great. Man, I'm not so sure that it is. They need to get it moving. If the OL is good, and the receivers are top notch, then what's the problem?
I think Josh Jones isn't nearly as good as Aaron Jones despite the numbers. Yes he is available and yes he is consistently above average but he isn't the home run tilt the field type player.
The Packers D just looks like ass. They just don't look like they have any field tilters out there. It's obvious they didn't tonight.
Is Rashan Gary washed? Kinda looks like he might be? Is Hercules a never was? Kinda seems like he might be.
Packers need a healthy Ja for the stretch.
I still think the Packers will find a way to nut up and get out of the NFC, but the lack of a field tilter on offense is a problem. Time for Watson or the shake-and-baker Wicks to become that player. Where was Reed tonight?

So much for the Lions having a depleted defense
We gained over 400 yards the first game.
We didn’t even crack 300 yards in this game (298). We did have some short fields, but we never seemed to get in rhythm. Give the Lions credit.
Offense had to win this game.
Only 7 points in the first half
Love with 12 completions for the night.
Oline struggled all game.Last edited by Teamcheez1; 12-06-2024, 06:01 AM.

Drafting is becoming an issue for the Packers. LVN is looking like a bust for where he was taken, and Morgan has offered nothing. You should be getting contributions from your 1st round talent. We’ve passed on solid talent to take fliers on athletes, and it isn’t paying dividends. It's such a GOOD feeling...13 TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

Ja - hurt 50% of the timeOriginally posted by King Friday View PostDrafting is becoming an issue for the Packers. LVN is looking like a bust for where he was taken, and Morgan has offered nothing. Gary - Impact player but not the same guy this year, looks washed to me
Love - Loving good generally, down compared to last year IMO
Stokes - Not an impact player
Walker - Not an impact player
Wyatt - Pretty good player
Van Ness - Not an impact player
Morgan - Not an impact player (yet)
Yeah, I have to say I agree that his first round picks have been somewhat underwhelming in that regard. Injuries do happen and it's unfortunate that two of the premier athletes's speed was stolen by ford field. They started out so promising but time hasn't been super kind to them. The availability for Ja is such a big factor.

Oline struggled all game.
They started slow. Felt like Detroit sent pressure a lot - saw them sending 5-6 more than a few times at Love. Also, Detroit just flat out held the ball longer. 70+ plays for DET, only 45 plays for the GB offense. Hard to score points if you don't have the ball.
DET had too much success converting on 3rd and 4th down.
Didn't like the Watson OPI call, was pretty tickytacky, but don't let 'ref bad luck' decide the game. They should have called OPI on LaPorta 2 minutes later.
It feels like they are missing one piece on offense. Maybe that was Reed tonight, he's been quiet recently and makes me wonder if he's injured or if teams are erasing him in coverage schemes. If so, MLF has to counter that.
They took the best team (right now) in the league down to the wire. Sucks they couldn't pull off the upset, but they were underdogs for a reason.
Time to focus on getting healthy with the mini-bye and focus on beating Seattle. Doubs, Jaire, Cooper, Bullard, Evan Williams, etc.Last edited by run pMc; 12-06-2024, 02:02 PM.
