Yeah when I heard the GPG chants over the TV broadcast I was stunned. Seattle supposedly has a pretty raucous home crowd with all that 12th Man stuff and the way the stadium is constructed to funnel the noise. Makes up a bit for the Gold package fans selling their seats to other team's fans.

    So...
Christian Watson is not a draft bust? He's been healthy this year and on a bit of a hot streak lately. He's averaging over 77 receiving yards/game since the bye.
Love is worth the contract? Since the bye has had 100+ QB ratings in every game and has generally made good decisions and taken care of the ball.

Still not convinced about the pass rush though.

Packers are 7th(?) in the league in sacks atm. I think that's pretty good.

They're only middle of the pack in pressures though. You would like to see more consistent pressure, although Packers blitz less than most teams. I would agree though that the Packers pass rush has been better than many have portrayed it.

Not looking at any stats, the pass rush seems to have gotten better over the course of the season.

Is Cooper the key to this defense? It seems like people are generally quite optimistic about the D when he's in there, and think the D is soft when he's out.

I think they have a pretty well-rounded crew when they're at full strength.

He can't do a lot unless the guys in front of him are doing their job. But he's a huge upgrade over whoever else they have at LB when he's not in there.

He's not just an upgrade; he's a difference-maker. A play maker. Of this year's Packer draft class, probably the guy with the most exciting skills.

There's a vid of him on Twitter dropping into coverage, chasing down a WR and breaking the pass up. The burst, speed and awareness were eye opening.

Couple that with his pass rushing skills and run-stuffing ability.

I honestly don't know if I can think of any Packers LB who is comparable.

It has gotten better, slightly. Kenny and Rashan are playing better, as is LVN. I'm assuming it's because they have started to get more comfortable rushing from a 4-3, and that Hafley & Co. have a better understanding of the personnel.
The SEA OL played worse than I expected them to. Sam Howell holds the ball too long, but he was also getting confused by the D, and his receivers weren't getting open fast enough. Even when Geno was in the game they were getting to him, Valentine's pick was caused by pressure.

I don't think we're going to be able to tell a lot about the pass rush vs. NO, their OL isn't very good either and if I'm them I try to duplicate CHI's game plan to keep the game close.

Regardless, the pass rush has to improve if they have any hope of going anywhere in the playoffs. It's encouraging that there are some signs but until I see it consistently IDK what to think.

Agree, and also with mailman about needing the DL to do their job. Be great if Gute could find another LB who can be a running mate.

This got by me somehow, but the excellent road win over Seattle knocked the Seahawks out of the playoffs entirely.

At least for the moment. The Rams took their previous spot.
