Well, they got 40 but they didn't need 40 since Purdy thought Kerby Joseph was one of his receivers.

by beating the Niners, the Lions have ensured that the Bears will finish with more losses than the rest of the division combined

During the game, the beloved by no-one announcer and overpaid football doofus Troy (One half of the infamous Buckman™) watching the same damn replay we all saw of Purdy going to the ground and even in slow motion it was easy as pie to see, particularly in the two times in a row they showed it in super-slow-mo, that Purdy took a helmet to his throwing arm/elbow.

Specifically, he took the facemask of the helmet of a guy tackling him to the ground. Yet the uber-doofus continually repeated how he just didn't see anything there, and wasn't sure of what might have caused him to have something wrong with his throwing hand. You'd think after several decades of playing football, watching football, announcing football and having two fucking eyes he'd see what was CLEARLY on the screen in front of him.

          What a colossal dumb ass.

I thought getting concussions was what ended him?

oh they'll pay him. they don't have much else for options, and next year they'll probably run it back with Trent Williams, CMC, and Aiyuk all back. The SF OL and DL isn't what it used to be, but Purdy can carve up a D if Shanahan figures it out.

It was. Sometimes he looks at the camera and it's like the lights are on with nobody home.

I don’t know man. They sent Jimmy G packng in a similar scenario. Purdy’s mediocrity shined this season in several outdoor games.

Yep that’s the look. Rodgers eyes are showing signs of it too.

                        I think you've called it.

That would be so cool for me - imagine the anguish and the wailing and gnashing of teeth in Detroit if they lose their first game after getting the bye. The only improvement of that scenario would be if it was the Packers who took them down.
