AussiePack does bring up the question I am also starting to wonder. For years we always talked/complained about how our great QBs didn’t have enough of a team around them. Are the Packers now a loaded team that needs a playmaking QB?

I'm starting to wonder if the Packers have a bunch of good receivers but lack the kind of great receiver (Jefferson, Adams, Chase) that can take over a game.

You guys are being pretty harsh on a QB that is only in his second year of starting
A big reason we are in the playoffs is because he has played pretty well overall.
He’s had his ups and downs, but so has this very young team. We aren’t exactly losing to a bunch of stumblebums.
Love has room to grow and a lot of potential.
No, he hasn’t won the big games this year, but it’s a bit early to write him off.

I definitely don't think they have the latter, but not sure if they have the former either. They're definitely really good in stretches, and they sound really good together on paper. I do think next year will paint a really clear picture of the WR and TE corps. 88 is slept on due to his plethora of injuries but he's very talented. 85 is a future all-pro IMO. I still kinda think that 13 could be the best of the lot of 'em, but right now he's not playing like a good #3.

Its the lack of field vision that bothers me. Too many times ive seen open receivers screaming down the field and love throws somewhere else that in my sense is a lesser play whereas elite guys see yhe field better and pull that trigger. There are a lot of quarterbacks id take to run this offense who are in the league now, who are younger than J Love, who i feel would make more of this situation.

I mentioned that. And what sprung that shift in scoring was feeding jacobs more not going through love. Which with a great QB should have produced more play action success at the very least. Love has been more conservative and this has seemed to erase his big turnovers but also more of his big plays.

More to it than that but people like to talk shit about this offense not having a no1 receiver, but these guys stats prorated over a full year if all are healthy, reed doubs watson, almost 3 1k receivers on this squad, then you have a top 10 tight end, how are you not scoring 3td in the air per game.

Love’s greatest issue is accuracy. He’s not a highly accurate QB. He’s not horrible, but he’s middle of the road. Outside of poise, accuracy is the most important attribute for a QB. It is one that you can improve on your own to some extent, and Love needs to work a ton on it this offseason.

I've been thinking that in the draft if there's "that guy" sitting there - the wide receiver you refer to - the Packers ought to take him. They lack a stud WR - they have lots of role guys - and frankly, their hands are suspect. Even Jayden Reed seems to be regressing. He had a bad game yesterday and has not been a presence in the offense like he was before. What happened?

As a remote armchair fan, I'm not sure why we're keeping Willis under wraps, unless LaFleur thinks the Malik packages are so valuable for the playoffs they can't have a frame of film available on him.

I feel like the Packers actually did enough to win against the Vikings. They perhaps didn't win because:

                      - Kick that FG on that second red zone trip instead of going for it on 4th down. If you're gonna be road warriors to the Owl you gotta learn to take the points in front of you. All season long the offense eventually comes alive. It's ok to take 3 and make it a one point game that early on.

                      - Clean up the penalties (again) I can't believe they're STILL shooting themselves in the foot. Poor coaching and poor execution on this one thing, for at least this and last season.

                      - They got away from the ground & pound a bit too early. Sure they were down on the scoreboard but I think Matt LeFleur got spooked by it and got away from the actual team identity.

Not kicking the red zone FG was a turn around of six points.

Good analysis of the passing game over on Acme.
Not exonerating Love, but the receivers didn’t help him through much of the game.
Also think MLF needs to make better adjustments early in the game,

This looks like an Aaron Rodgers pass chart.

Orlovsky had a good analysis that Love needs to take off more against man coverage since he isn't account for.

I would like to see him add that as a weapon in the arsenal. It can be a back breaker for other teams. You've got the receivers covered, you seem to have the QB bottled up, the pocket is collapsing - then he squirts out there like Hershey, and fifteen yards later it's a first down.
