kind of a meh signing. They have the cap space and needed to bring in a LB; I'd have preferred Wilson over McDuffie. Good depth, good ST guy, he plays hard, but he can't cover.

Dear Gute: take your cap space and extend Zach Tom.

He's solid in the run game. I like his grit. Happy he's sticking around.

Good team guy, backup LB, knows the system, can play ST and not grumble. It's fine.

But yes, they need one more LB if, as it appears, former third-round-pick Ty Hopper is just a ST guy and can't figure out how to play the LB position.

And yes, let's get Tom re-upped, and figure out what they're going to do with Walker and Wyatt.

Nah man, only if you want. But as someone who was not impressed with McDuffie before, I think he does deserve his own thread now. He has been solid and guys like him are needed if you want a solid foundation. I think this is a good signing.
