  • Losers on the Packers because of the Parsons trade.

Which players are negatively impacted because of the Parsons trade? I think everyone in the 2026 FA class is negatively impacted. GB isn't likely to be very active for the top FAs, and is likely to let some of their own players leave who they might have tried to keep.

Walker and Rhyan. GB already has three expensive OL contracts and need to go cheap at LT and RG. Should have two lesser expensive replacements on hand already. Not really impacted by the Parsons deal. I think both would have been gone anyway.

Doubs & Watson - Generally, I think WRs are over-valued and over-paid as a group. With cheaper alternatives on the roster, I don't think GB will offer anything big to either one of them. Without the Parsons deal, I thought they would try to keep one of them, probably Watson.

Walker - I thought their explanation for not taking the 5th year option made sense, and they would likely reach a new deal with him. I think that is less likely now for cap reasons, especially with Hopper's improvement.

I would say the run defense is a loser. This again has me scratching my head as to the direction gutes is taking. We've always been bigger on the edge than most teams and we've pivoted to collapsing in the pocket, but now at the 11th hour we made a huge trade for an undersized edge that isn't a great run stopper

When they drafted Oliver this year they showed an interest in more of a speed rusher. Hafley may be looking for something different than what they've done in the past.

IMO Walker and Ryan were already good as gone. This just notarizes it
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

The Packers haven’t been great at stuffing the run since Gilbert Brown was eating burgers in Green Bay. Not even the beloved, overpaid, and now - thank fuck - former Pack, Cletitus Clark could do shit about the run.

Y’all seem to have forgotten that M-Par can also play linebacker. On obvious rushing downs, simply sub in Vanillia Ice for Parsons and move Parsons to linebacker.

Get ya popcorns ready, cos, Pack D is gonna be a sack-fest.

Quay Walker, Sean Ryan (probably was gone anyway), Rasheed Walker (probably was gone anyway), Christian Watson (was questionable but possible if he came back and looked good), Romeo Doubs (I don't think they were going to give a concussion guy a new contract anyway), Devonte Wyatt (can you afford to pay him now?), and Rashan Gary (I don't see how they can keep him next year with that contract - but can they trade him after the year?). Heck, any player whose contract is up after this year, too.

Anyone besides me think that Cooper might end up a big loser here? Kenny Clark isn't around to keep him clean anymore. Sure, Parsons will draw attention in passing situations, but on run downs Parsons is smallish and prone to big plays and total collapses. But Cooper isn't built to take on OL in the run game. If they get to him it could be a problem. Fortunately most teams are too dumb to take advantage of such things, but unfortunately Detroit and Philly aren't.

Desmond Watson is available. All 460lbs of him.

Again, the Packers weren’t even good vs the run with Clark in the lineup. Production-wise, the next Yokozuna up ain’t gonna have any problems matching Clark’s stats. Bring back hustling Jack Heflin!

Brenton Cox isn't sitting pretty with this trade. I do expect the GBP to work in a variety of looks and packages is their rush schemes

Colby Wooden is a loser in this trade because now he’s going to be exposed for the pretend nose tackle that he is.
