I have to cop to the idea of being one of those who was against the trade before it happened and very much for it after. The reason I don't buy the "all in" thing is that I considered the Packers a loaded team before the trade, and as I said someplace, if heaven forbid, Parsons got hurt, they still would be a loaded team. The other aspect of that I don't buy is that LaFleur or Gutekunst are in any job danger - their sum total of accomplishments makes that idea just plain silly.

Regarding Slaton, I heard Cincinnati paid him $14 million for two years. He wasn't worth that much. Stackhouse, who is pretty much a direct replacement is IMO as good or better for a whole lot less.

Thank you for the serious and civil post. And no, that ain't sarcasm.
This team is not loaded in the secondary, not sure if they are even average. I still think they would have been better off using some of the Parsons capitol on 1 or 2 CB's and think that and the O line could be big issues this year

In part due yo injuries, this team really isn't loaded a receiver, either.

I'd love for Golden to break out, but he's gonna have to play some regular season games (and survive defensive coordinators' midseason counters) before he earns that Agent 0 nickname.
I believe in God, family, Baylor University, and the Green Bay Packers.

Maybe you can try that civil style more often when others want to discuss the topic not just your opinion.

It depends on the who and the how. I've always been civil to those who deserve it - to some extent anyway. As I said above in my first line: there's a huge difference between insulting the person - which I hardly ever do other than counter punching, and insulting posts, which I do all the time, depending on their level of dumbassery. That's what forums are for, isn't it?

What I don't do is whine and complain about inane unserious crap which there is a plethora of in here, probably the bar-like atmosphere you were talking about. Even if it seems stupid to me, they have a perfect right to post it.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

News, I love ya, but you wanting Matthew Golden to develop acne is downright mean.
