Firing Big Mac Midseason was a bitch move.

    I'm still not over it.

    That's all.

Isn’t he talking about M3? Bitch move complaining about it years later though.

MM has moved back to Green Bay. He seems to have gotten over it.

M3 is a class act all the way. He seems like a good guy to me.

You don't fire a guy in the middle of the season after 12 years or however long it was. That is just not right.

That was a black spot on Mark Murphy, Gooter, and the whole Packers organization. They are better than that.

I'm glad Big Mac is back in Green Bay. Feels right.

Its 2025. That happened in 2018. At the time the Packers offense was stale and predictable. The Packers had lost 3 straight and were out of the playoff hunt. It was clear that MM was not going to be retained for the next season, so it was either have the the team be run by a dead man walking or cut bait. It made more sense to end it right then and there. The NFL is a buisness.

They had just lost at home to a bad Cardinals team. It was a must win game if they were to have any chance of making the playoffs, and they looked listless. Murphy may have felt MM had lost the team, and didn't want another 3 weeks of it. I don't have real strong feelings about it, but I can see why they did it.

So this mofo is saying jerry jones has more class than the Packers organization because he fired M3 at the end of the season.

I think it’s shittier to let him twist in the wind so you can pretend your organization somehow has “class” because they kept him around despite knowing he wasn’t coming back.

Maybe Ben Johnson will hire MM down in Chicago as a consultant. “Hey, Mike, my offensive playcalling has gotten freaky innovative and crazy, like a video game or something. Can you help me vanilla it down?”

I hire a contractor to put in a swimming pool, and he fucks up the foundation. I don't need to let him finish before I fire him and find someone that'll do the job better.

I'm sorry if his feelings are hurt, but firing an NFL head coach that's already been paid millions of dollars isn't a bitch move just because the season isn't done. Doesn't matter how long the coach has been around.

No kidding. I thought someone was tipping the bottle a little early, there.

                        This.

                        M3 was done.

It was the right thing to do.

On that day, yes. That was a bad decision.

Not really the same thing but okay. It was a bad team that underperformed. Firing him that day or three weeks later did nothing.

Someone was drinking heavily leading up to the season opener yesterday.

Fat mike is not a nice guy. He's kind of a dick.

There was also the story about him getting some ground keeper fired over a pretty innocent comment that I can't seem to dredge up. Fat mike struck me as an abrasive arrogant dick to be honest. Good riddance. I was so happy when Jerry Jones hired him because I knew it meant more years of failure for Dallas. If only the Bears had hired him this year.
