Correct and mea culpa. That is 100% my bad. That is Bretsky's signature. I'm old and get confused easily.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostWait a minute. When did I say that? To me, that sounds more Like Bretsky. The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary -- Vince Lombardi

We beat Tampa. We couldn't beat the officials.Originally posted by Fritz View PostI don't think it's Joe you're thinking of.
I'm not saying I think The Flower is a bad coach; I'm just giving this person examples of what he might say to start a debate.
I do think The Flower has stumbled in the 2019 and 2020 NFC Championship games. In both he seemed a bit outmatched, to me. But maybe I say that only because they didn't win. I just thought he went turtle on offense in the Tampa game. The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary -- Vince Lombardi

Yes, it's that time.
Time to resurrect the two greatest Cleveland Tourism Videos ever produced. I mean, since the Packers are in Cleveland already and I dunno, maybe some of the PackerRats readers made the journey too, I thought now is as good a time as any to bestow upon you a couple of real gems that have stood the test of time.
Without further ado I present:
Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video
Yes.
It's totally worth clicking to watch part two on YouTube. In fact, it's probably a better video, at least lyrically. The payoff is at the end. As foretold by the elders.
Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video: 2nd Attempt
Random find from the comments of one of the videos:
Also - yes , I'm aware Mike made a 3rd video in the series, if you can find it. I would have put it here for you but no, I ain't your personal search engine buddy, and I believe in you enough to use one on your own. Go on. You can do it! Plus, it's not quite as good, as is true of many 3rd installments in trilogies.Originally posted by The Internet10 Cent Beer night (June 4, 1974)
A MLB game between Cleveland's baseball team the Indians (Now renamed to the Guardians due to its racist depiction of a Native American for a mascot) and the Texas Rangers, on this night all beer was only 10 cents. Each fan was given the choice of six beers per-purchase (Not per-person). As you can imagine letting baseball fans get hammered on dimes was not the best idea. It was summer, it was humid, and it was right in the middle of firework season. Firecrackers going off combined with the brewing tension between Indians and Rangers fans from the game before gave the entire stadium the feeling of an active warzone. Eventually fans became restless and starting doing things like running onto the field and stealing bases. A heavyset woman (Probably in her mid 40s, seriously she looks like somebody's mom.) ran across the field flashing the crowd. Then a man stripped of all his clothes ran across the field and slid into home base. Eventually a fan attacked one of the players and his entire team backed him up and then the battle began. The other team eventually joined the fight and came to the defense of the other team. Fans brought chains and knives and threw batteries at people. There was an entire group of naked people on the field and they had a designated place for all their clothes to be put in a pile. There were over 25,134 fans that attended the game, and only 50 security guards. Only nine arrests were made after the game. The game organizers were fired the next day."Everyone's born anarchist and atheist until people start lying to them" ~ wise philosopher

I went to Cleveland for the early game vs. GB right before the move to Baltimore. I ordered a bloody mary in the bar acoss from the stadium. The nice waitress informed me that they could not serve liquor before noon on a sunday (city ordinance). I told her it was no wonder they were losing their team and ordered "any beer brewed in wisconsin".Originally posted by CaptainKickass View PostYes, it's that time.
