Betting against the home team on Thursday night is a bad idea.

Rodgers can still chuck it, but he isn't what he used to be. Cincy's poor D helped him look almost unstoppable. I didn't see hos first pick, but the second was ripped out of the receiver's hands, before it was a completed pass and a fumble instead.

First pick was a 50 yard downfield shot. It turned out to be a good punt on first down (I think it was first). Safety came a long way to grab it, have to give some credit to the D.

Maybe Nixon and Valentine aren't as bad as people thought.

Are you just saying that because Chase and Higgins combined for 22 catches for 257 yards and 2 TD's?

Tampa at Detroit ought to be a good one. If Detroit wins that, the fans here will be back to their usual insufferable selves. But maybe I ought to feel badly for them. The banners they have hanging in their rafters are for being, like NFC North winners. And world championships from 1957. No wonder the fans are desperate.

            Nah. Fuck 'em.

On another note, Rodgers, rest assured, will be throwing like three to five yard routes when the Steelers play the Packers next week. He's not going to throw many deep shots, I don't think. So Half-Assley better figure out how to stop that - which may be as simple as making sure the Steeler receivers get tackled stat. So no letting George Pickens drag Carrington Valentine fifteen yards down field after a catch. Walker and Cooper need to hit hard and take 'em down, immediately.

Compared to 15 for 156 and 1TD? Yes.

It's unclear from the game today if the Bears still stuck, but it is very clear the New Orleans does suck.

You know who's bad? Pam Oliver.

Every game I see her, she gets closer and closer to sounding like that first game, where everyone thought she was drunk or on serious drugs, all slurring and spittle with her words, while looking like she's in the middle of having a damn stroke.

With radio or podcasts, all you gotta do is sound good. She doesn't. She sounds lethargic and like she's barely keeping it together.

With television or video, you gotta look good and sound good. She doesn't. She used to look like an attractive Whitney Winfree (A cross between Whitney Houston and Oprah Winfree) but now she's getting closer to a Whoopi Sanford (A cross between Whoopi Goldberg and Fred Sanford) and the best makeup job money can buy isn't fooling anyone in this giant screen, 4-8k Ultra High Definition viewing world.

She needs to hang it up. Or the network needs to hang it up for her. She's bad television and bad sports broadcasting.

Or, just put her and Al Michaels on the same team. Maybe throw in Buckman™ to form the worst possible NFL TV broadcast team.

Does it seem there's an unusually high number of BAD teams this year?

More bad AFC teams than usual for sure

IIRC she's got some health issues. But like you say, it might be best for the network to find someplace else for her.

I wish I could have watched the 4th quarter of the Giants - Broncos game. 46 points in that quarter including all 33 of Denvers in their comeback win.
