Agreed. The announcers were second guessing it, but if the Packers kicked it, they most likely would have lost. Second guessing the stupid sideways run on 3rd and short is a different matter entirely.

The gamble on offense was primarily (IMO) because our defense couldn't stop anybody.

I was yelling at the screen - not because they went for it but because they threw it deeper instead of just enough for the first down. By scoring too quick, they risked losing it anyway when Arizona got the ball back with 1:54 or whatever left.

          Before we crucify the D.

They held the Cardinals to 3 points and 82 yards on 24 plays in the 4th Q. And the FG came after a long kickoff return and a facemask letting ARI start on our side of the field.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

True. And yes, the special teams fubared over and over again. But imagine the anguish if The Flower had stayed with his kick-the-field-goal decision and AZ came down to kick the game winner? That defense needs to shore up. I don't know how but they do. At this point, don't the Packers play Valentine outside and bench Hobbs and see how that goes?

Question re: the Cards TD to the TE, the busted coverage.

Was that on Edge or the safety?

Have to believe that's on the safety. Looks to me like Edge has responsibility for RB who is starting to come out of backfield. https://www.espn.com/nfl/video/_/gameId/401772863

Thanks, that's kind of what I thought, but wasn't sure.

Matt LeFleur said “no” today in answer to my question.

Which TD? They blew both of his.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I did want to mention - and perhaps it is too far fetched to believe someone on the Packers team is reading this forum, much less paying attention to anything we write - that Jordan love did end up using a couple-two-three pump fakes when scrambling and/or taking off running during the game.

At least we now know, that I know, that he knows, what they all knew before he did, and that's that the pump-fake maneuver exists.

I'm not saying use it everywhere or every play of course. Just be tastefully artistic about using it and let it become a nice little friend for the QB in his bag of tricks.
