That throw to Watson was just awful. Late in the play, across his body to the middle of the field. I liked the result, but he has to eliminate that from the tool box.

The Watson throw he had a eyes on the whole time and knew what window to throw to. The fact that he was escaping right affected the throw. But it made sense even if it was either late or too much air.

The Kraft pop up was more of a prayer he could barely see.

There is a reason Brooks and Wilson get pass down playing time.

Years ago I coached freshman basketball for a high school in Maryland. The opposing team was throwing the ball in after we scored a bucket, and I wanted everyone back to defend, as it was the end of a tight game and they'd broken our press a few times. One of our players, Curtis, instead of following orders, got up into the inbound passer's face, waving his arms around. I was yelling, "No, no, get back Curtis! NO!"

Immediately afterward, the inbound passer threw it in, Curtis knocked it down, and scored a layup. I yelled "Yes, Curtis, yes!"

I imagine The Flower was doing the same thing as Love rolled right and threw back to the middle.

That’s the way I saw it too. He was never doubting what he was going to do. Also led Watson into the pass and never had danger of being picked. He outdueled AaRon on a big stage on the road. Maybe this is the turning point in his career where the greatness begins.

What's surprising about that graph is that Pittsburgh has been terrible covering in the 10-19 range and poor down the middle. I don't know if the Steelers changed things up to protect that area better or if the Packers focused on the short game more due to the pass rush.
