I'm guessing you did somewhat less rehab and got a bit less medical attention for yours. I think better blocking would do more for his rushing than rest.

Nor was I blocking a bunch of ginormous elite athletes with outrageous fast twitch capacities, or trying to out-run fast as fuck mother fuckers.

Solution for run blocking problems? Hmmm....

If only there were some kind of a specialty back invented for this game who would - get this - line up in the backfield with the other backs and then - hear me out here - be used like a human bulldozer to clear a running lane just as soon as the offensive linemen engaged in their blocking assignments!

        CRAZY IDEA!

        We could call him...

        The 1/8th Back! No wait...
The 5/16ths Back! No wait... screw standard....let's go metric...

        The 10mm Back! Yeah!

The team was at its best with both Jenkins and Tom at Guard. Tom has been pretty mediocre at Tackle. Maybe it's the injury or maybe he's just not as good there. Maybe move both Jenkins and Tom back to Guard and put Kinnard at RT or better yet Belton (although I don't ever expect this to happen).

Whatever they do, this is not too big a deal, as quality of O Line isn't that big a factor in winning and losing games, not like quality at the skilled positions.
Yes, this is why Josh Meyers got the pay day his tape earned him. A $2 million dollar, one-year deal at center for a second contract on a second-round pick is just the top of the market.

Will say this for Meyers. He was available. That does count for something.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I have since blocked Tex for his vitriol in FYI, but I see I'm missing absolutely nothing of substance here.

Meyers is starting to look like one of those guys who ends up with a 10-12 year career, starting a bunch of games because someone gets hurt. He'll play for a different team every year or two, always being the guy they want to replace as a starter, but being good enough to be the next man up when a guard or center goes down. He'll make a few million a year for the next five or six years, signing one or two year contracts.

Haters and dipshits will still be haters and dipshits.

Three different websites say Meyers is getting $3.5 million from the Jets. I guess a lot of ya'all who hated Meyers worshiped the old sacred cow, Bakhtiari. Who among ya'all think we wouldn't be better off with Meyers at Center ($3.5 million), Jenkins at Guard, and Banks ($17 million) some other team?

Myers contract is 2 million with another 1.5 million possible in incentives. So far I would say it's been a wash as to whether they would have been better or worse with Myers.

As someone who doesn’t trust writers or the media you shouldn’t trust random websites either.

It’s a 1.2 mil dollar salary. 800k signing bonus and 1.5 million in incentives. He will get some of the playing time incentives. But he’s not getting 500k for the Pro Bowl. Saying it’s $3.5 million is agent speak.

But more importantly, it’s bargain basement for starting offensive lineman. Trust the market comrade

So Tex, is PB a “hater” or a “dipshit”?

                      I’m just trying to understand.

Which is why we shoulda kept him.

Fritz, "hater" probably refers to several in here with irrational hate for Meyers. You, PB, anybody else can label yourself as that - or not.

By "dipshit", I was referring to bobblehead - for blatant cowardice as well as intermittent idiocy.
