I’m starting to think he’s worse than McCarthy. Lafleur looks completely out to lunch.

The math said go it at that time. Not a bad decision, especially with McManus kicking. Bad play call.

I won $60 off a $10 bet, so ain’t depressed. Got a couple of lap dances waiting.

        • This was really one of the worst coached games I've seen in the MLF era.

Young had barely 100 yards passing and they only punted twice in this game.

Our defense couldn't stop their running game and they completely controlled the clock.

MLF makes decisions on clock management that are just baffling. Running out the clock at halftime in order to kick a FG.
Not kicking a FG with 10 minutes left in the game and going for it on 4th and goal from the 8 without 3 of your best WRs.

Continuing to employ the bend but don't break defense that forces teams to run the ball and throw short when you have one of the best pass rushes in the league.

The Panthers were not a talented team (way below our talent level), but their coaching was leagues ahead of ours.

If we fail to win our division, the two losses that we have to two teams that we should have beaten will be the reason, and in each case, it will have been coaching decisions that were the major cause.

          • Carolina played stout. That may be the best RB we play all season -- only one to go over 100 against us and I'm not too concerned with the rest we face, maybe "king" Henry though he seems to have lost a step.

Their oline was banged up and had the best game I've seen against the Pack (with Nijman no less). Our oline can't seem to get it together: that and the loss of Kraft really have me doubtful this team can go far. At least last year they could run the ball. Seems like all our receivers are made of glass.

I don't really mind the loss; credit to the Panthers, but my concern about this oline was high already.

I agree. I had an uneasy feeling early on in this game because the Panthers didn't look like a team that should be a double digit underdog. Their coach, with 5 wins, should be in the running for coach of the year.

              • On the last play was I the only one screaming "don't tackle him!!!". They needed to hold him up while allowing him to gain yards. They could have killed the clock (would have been close if he went dead weight and managed to hit the turf).
