  • Poison pills in Parsons trade.

Report is this: If GB trades Parsons to an NFC East team before the 2028 draft, Cowboys get GB's 2028 1st round pick. Reciprocal provision for Cowboys trading Clark to NFC North team.

Apparently, the Eagles made a hard push to get Parsons. The Cowboys wouldn't even consider a trade to the Eagles and wanted to ensure he wouldn't get there anytime soon in a roundabout way.

Because of the poison pill, we know the Packers won't be doing any trades with their 2028 1st round pick, either trading up or down. The Packers have to hold onto the pick, because it is reserved for the Cowboys in the event that the Packers trade Parsons.

Well, thats one sided since no one will give much for Kenny's contract after this season. And contractually we probably can't trade Micah for at least 2 years.

Edit: The poison pill also applies to Kenny Clark. Cowboys cannot trade him to an NFCN team.
I assume we could move it on draft day 2028.

Obviously we're not gonna trade Parsons, but there is 7/8 of the NFL that we could trade3 him to without penalty.
