    Cowboys were supposed to be interested in Maxx Crosby too and his failure to land on the Ravens might have put a damper on trading for Gary (nothing can be official before later today).

    But Diana Russini from the Athletic reports Cowboys won't be going down that path. Gary deal should close as discussed.

    Skyy Moore might be making enough to cancel the Quay Walker compensatory choice (guesstimated at a fifth rounder) according to Justus Mosqueda. That is a bit of a surprise. Its close and he says we need to see the full details to know. But the Packers might be down to 3 compensatory picks after this one.

    Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr Neal El Attrache. Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons.
    Nothing is prettier than the streets of Baltimore at night, but I reckon, Vegas ain’t too bad at night, either. Then again, what do I know? I ain’t ever been to Baltimore and have only been to Vegas twice - and I spent the majority of the nights there holed up inside grinding at poker.

He may not strictly be "Packer people", but if he is a shutdown Corner or near it, I'd be glad to have him. I also hope we give up on Hobbs and demote Nixon - if he's our top Corner, the situation is not improved. We also need to get one, maybe two high draft pick Corners.

    It wouldn't hurt to get an Edge Rusher as a FA, but I don't really think it's an urgent need. Ditto that for D Line. Of the two, Karl Brooks is better than Wooden, so we retained the right one IMO.

    I see Doubs is gone to the Patriots for $20 million a year either 3 or 4 years. He's good, but not that good, especially with the concussion history.
    We discussed St-Juste a bit in this thread earlier.

    @TomSilverstein

    Been told that #Packers signed KR/PR/WR Skyy Moore for base value of $2.5 million with the ability to make $4.5 million total.

    That's not close to causing Packers to lose 4th round comp. Probably won't figure in the comp equation at all.

    No. MLB has huge disparities because they don't have the salary cap structure of the NFL. GB signs as many of their developed players as other teams. Historically, they signed more than most and we're criticized for exactly the opposite -- keeping their own players and not using free agency. They're doing a bit of both right now. Very different from the Brewers.

    That's too much, and I like Quay more than most. Good for him.
