Apparently, the IN legislature is putting serious effort into creating a sports entertainment district to make it happen. The IL legislature cancelled their meeting scheduled for today to discuss possible incentives for the Bears in Arlington. The two states seem to be moving in opposite directions.

A spokesperson for Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker said that "Illinois was ready to move this bill forward. After a productive three-hour meeting yesterday, the Bears leaders requested the ILGA pause the hearing to make further tweaks to the bill. This morning, we were surprised to see a statement lauding Indiana and ignoring Illinois."

If the Bears leave Chicago, the blame game between the Illinois Governor and Mayor of Chicago will be epic.

It would be anti Gutebag to bring in veteran players over the age of 30 with exception of kickers, punters, and long snappers.

Do you honestly think he considers, many, if any, players over 30 ?

We could fix our OL really quickly be bringing in #3, one of the best centers in the game, and from Iowa.

Then next year we dump Banks for cap savings.

Looks like we could score 2 thirds and 2 5ths if things fall as expected. But Gutes will sign someone to negate at least one of those picks as I think you can only get 3?? Or is it more?

Edit: and since the cap isn't real and can be cooked we should probably sign about 5 of the top 15 guys on that list.

There are some interesting older DL FAs in the twilights of their careers who might be available more cheaply for limited roles. Chubb, Mack, Bosa and Campbell all might enjoy playing with Parsons.
