Isn’t it less about knowing more than the rest of us do about the teams and probable outcome, but more so knowing more about how fans think, so they can set the point spread exactly so half the bettors bet one way and half the other?

Not so much. The books take my $100 bet, but there are sharps betting 10k a game. The books don't want to get exposed by making a line to beat me.

Packers were favored by 7.5 vs Browns and by 13 vs Panthers. I don't put much faith in point spreads.

Its science with human input. The Browns game was totally predictable. All the sharp money was on Cleveland that day. The Panthers started playing well about when we caught them and we slept. They beat the Rams too. That team isn't the tire fire fans think it is and the lines are starting to reflect it.

I know I said there's only one game on the schedule today but it hasn't started yet so I had to watch Buffalo versus Cincinnati in the snow. Joe burrow is so damn good.

Washington is giving Chicago a run for most likely to screw up a QB.

Houston had an interception where the nose of the ball hit the ground and there was a lot more ball movement than the pass to Musgrave that was overturned. The refs need something resembling consistency.

I saw that MLF at his press conference that Parsons is constantly being held and the refs are not making any calls.

Either he was thinking he had his team from a couple of years ago, or he just wants a long off-season for a change.

On this one, given the opponent, I might agree. Houston is all D no O. Punt it from the 30 might be the better call.

I get the attempt, more shots on offense more chances to score, but that was a tough one against that D. Plus all the Chiefs had the dropsies.

Failure was an instant 3 point penalty and loss of the lead. Absolutely wrong every time.
