Lot of talk about the Packers vs. the Denver defense. With Dobbins out, this Denver offense is going to really struggle. ... Well, at least I'll get to see Bo Nix: a lot riding on his play in this game.

I feel like this is the game where our oline gets exposed. Is it just me or is this the worst oline we have had since 1991? The worst lt (marshmellow newhouse) we have had this century would be an upgrade.

I hate only coming in here and complaining but it's wild that we have such a poor oline,, yet are one of the best teams in the league still...

As the Packerrats Packers historian, allow me to remind you of Ted Thompson’s rookie year in 2005. Polar Bear replaced Wahle and Rivera with Klemm and Whittaker. Both replacements were so bad, they were gone the following season. Yeah, the Polar Bear dismantled a playoffs team and gave birth to 4-12.

The current Yokozuna lineup ain’t as awesome as the All-White lineup of Bak, Sitton, Lang, Bulaga and Linsley (?), but it hasn’t been a liability since Rhyan and 71 joined the lineup.

Who the fuck is 71 again? Bobby, Bobble, Bebob, Belton?

Oh, btw, Polar Bear also drafted some cocky QB from Butte Community College.

I said a long time ago - with several usual suspects criticizing - that O Line quality just isn't that important. The reason this year's team is so good is the skill positions. Love gets pressure virtually every time he drops back - same as Rodgers always did, but he, also like Rodgers, is mobile enough most of the time to get the pass away, of course with minimal picks. That plus this year's receivers are damn good. And Jacobs is the ideal RB when your O Line can't block - no hole where the play is called? No problem. A jump cut here, a broken tackle there, and the job gets done enough to satisfy LaFleur's tendency to run too early and too often.

I generally agree with APB about those "yokozumas" on offense at least. Bigness is a little more important in the D Line, interior anyway. And yeah, Rhyan who looked pathetic at Guard has been pretty decent at Center. And Belton is that "road grader" type I prefer, and he's shaping up nicely. Last game, Tom was looking more like his old self too.

As for this week's match up, I don't think Denver is quite as good as some of those "orange crush" teams we may remember. I'm pretty sure our barely adequate O Line will be good enough.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Another steal from Reddit, breaking down the Donkey's season:

                  Week 1: vs. Titans (0-0 then, 2-11 now): W 20-12, 133 yards allowed, -2 TO

                  Week 5: @ Eagles (4-0 then, 8-5 now): W 21-17, 302 yards allowed, = TO
                  Week 6: @ Jets (0-5 then, 3-10 now): W 13-11, 82 yards allowed, -1 TO
                  Week 7: vs Giants (2-4 then, 2-11 now): W 33-32, 387 yards allowed, +1 TO
                  Week 8: vs Cowboys (3-3-1 then, 6-6-1 now): W 44-24, 339 yards allowed, +1 TO
                  Week 9: @ Texans** (3-4 then, 8-5 now): W 18-15, 268 yards allowed, +2 TO
                  Week 10: vs Raiders (2-6 then, 2-11 now): W 10-7, 188 yards allowed, +1 TO
                  Week 11: vs Chiefs (5-4 then, 6-7 now): W 22-19, 311 yards allowed, +1 TO
                  Week 12: bye
                  Week 13: @ Commanders*** (3-8 then, 3-10 now): W 27-26 (OT), 419 yards allowed, = TO
                  Week 14: @ Raiders**** (2-10 then, 2-11 now): W 24-17, 229 yards allowed, = TO

                  * Jake Browning was QB for the Bengals
** C.J. Stroud knocked out at start of second quarter, Davis Mills played the rest of the game
*** Marcus Mariota was QB for the Commanders
**** Geno Smith knocked out at end of third quarter, Kenny Pickett played the rest of the game.

Same deal as last week, the Broncos have won a bunch of games and have that confidence, but if the Packers score North of 24, preferably 27, or so, they probably win.

They are improving and playing as a unit at just the right time. Not a "good" line, but not a bad one either. Keep improving and maybe it will be an above average unit by the playoffs.

There is a lot of sentiment that its all smoke and mirrors, but a 10 game win streak is a 10 game win streak. Peyton is a really good coach.

Not smoke and mirrors, but the longer a streak goes, the more likely it is to be broken.

Not sure on your logic here. I would argue that a team playing well enough to win 10 in a row is more likely to win the next one than to lose it....at home no less.

Josh Jacobs said his knee stiffened up during the second half last Sunday. Got another scan Monday and everything is structurally sound. Stems from the MetLife game. Hasn’t practiced yet this week but called himself day-to-day ahead of Sunday in Denver.

I'm not saying it's smoke and mirrors, they are consistently winning and that counts for a lot, and I agree completely about Payton.

I do think they are not as good as their record suggests and can be had.

The Packers could very well lose this one, that wouldn't surprise me, but it also wouldn't surprise me if the Packers handle them.
