Which means he'll probably be out at least 1st month of next season.

The loss hurts, but it was going to be tough to beat this team, in Denver. But the injuries, welp, I'm going into the fetal position now and cry myself to sleep. This really, really hurts. Season's not over, but I don't see much sunshine the rest of the way.

            Disaster of a game.

Denver has only scored over 30 once this year. 34 was the most they scored all season. Our D seems to have been "gassed" for several games now, and this was the worst they've looked all season. Granted Box Nix seems really good, but the defense felt flat and helpless after the first quarter. As I posted above, on the season they are the number one D in the first 2 drives and near last for all drives after that, and it seems to be getting worse as the season is coming to an end.

I thought the offense did it's part. Poor fourth quarter. But the story imo was defense: Denver's D stepped up at the end, Green Bay's did not.

There's a fuckton of reasons to doom, but I'll say this, the D didn't crumble after Uno went down. They stopped the Donkeys twice on fourth down.

                  Give them a little credit.

But I kinda' wish I had some booze in the house, NGL.

They might yet make the playoffs, but if Tom and Watson are done for the year, it's hard to see them as a true contender.

Except they did it two other times, not just one. They also scored 44 against Dallas.

I agree that the defense looked gassed, and it has more and more lately. Parsons was the only thing holding the pass rush together. I think Wyatt's injury hurt worse than people think, though there's more to the defense's regression than just that. I don't know what, however. They just don't look like the same unit from say five or six games ago. But it's not an intimidating defense any more.

The injuries are just going to be too much to overcome. Watson AND Parsons - just too much. Watson really did make this offense look like a whole 'nother animal. And the defense without Parsons? Last year's success seems like smoke and mirrors now. Rashan Gary, I noticed yesterday, seems appreciably slower than he was a few years ago.

Guess Brenton Cox will be reactivated now.

Sorry. Downer post. I'm just trying to process the crushing of my dreams.

I was mega depressed after the game. Not the loss which I was ready for all week, but the injuries and the fact that at the most crucial moment Jeff Hafley forgot how to blitz. We couldn't get home with 4 even when Parsons was playing but we kept trying dammit and Denver got 5 TDs without missing a beat.

Now believe it or not I'm more upbeat today with news that Tom and Watson probably play again relatively soon. We need to find a way to win with less next week though and that's a big ask. If the season was derailed, it wasn't by the loss (which might have been a win if we had sent 5 a few extra times) it will be the injuries which could easily lead to more losses. But if Parsons is the only loss for the year, then this team still has a modest chance to make the playoffs and splash around. This game isn't indicative of this team. I warned everyone all week what a shitty position it was to play on the road vs. the AFC between Bear games. We looked like it. I expect a good effort vs. the Bears, but depending on who can suit up it could go either way.

Was busy with family all weekend and only caught part of the game, but did anyone else think Love got concussed when tackled out of bounds on a scramble very early in the game? The top of his head got shoved into the turf and he was literally shaking his head as he returned to the huddle.

Possible he had grass/dirt/rubber pellets in the facemask but my first reaction was he go his bell rung and was clearing up cobwebs.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

                              You were 100% correct.

Saturday we will see what this team is made of: do they fold like a cheap lawn chair or do they rise to the occasion?

Nature abhors a vacuum, who will step up and lead this defense? My money is on Cooper.
