And Williams's job just got easier, as it's looking unlikely that Evan Willaims will play Saturday.

Watch the Bears pound the middle with the running game (Swift will likely be out so their remaining guy is an inside-the-tackles type) and roll Williams out. If Halfley blitzes, they need to be controlled in their pass rushes.

I'm hoping Van Ness can contribute. Gary seems so slow these days - wow, he's become such a plodder.

The Bears obviously seem poised for a big win, but you never know. I do think the Packers are still in shock over losing Parsons. Can Halfley get the rest of them to step up, and can he devise a plan that will work for this defense?

Gary has always had a terrible change of direction. I don't know how testing like a 3 cone or shuttle or film didn't reveal that. He's quick in a straight line but he changes direction like a tractor trailer.

Nothing against Parsons. He's was as great as his reputation and will hopefully be again. But the Packers actually seemed to get after the QB better after Parsons went down last week. I'm allowing that maybe the Broncos changed up their blocking, but the fact remains, the Packers have a damn good and deep group of pass rushers other than Parsons. The Packers are gonna need to shore up their strength against the run, especially inside. Yes, we will miss Evan Williams if he can't play. It will go a long way toward showing how good (or not) Hafley is whether he can patch things up and have a strong D given the losses and our already pathetic DBs.
