  • Watson avoided major injury

injury per Rappaport: #Packers standout WR Christian Watson, who went down yesterday holding his shoulder, did not suffer a major injury, sources say. So positive injury news on a bad day.

One of GB’s most explosive weapons, the offense thrives while he’s out on the field. An essential piece.
Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

This is the best news I've heard. IMO, Watson is more important to Packer success going forward than Parsons.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

I’m m gonna take of big swig of Texas tea and agree. If the offense can score there is a chance. When Watson was out and the D was holding teams to low scores it still resulted in a loss. How well the D handles Caleb will be a big indicator of how the rest of the season and playoffs will go. Parson relentlessly chased his little ass a week ago. Curious to see how it goes without the constant pressure.

Hook me up with some of the Viagra you’re doping.

With Good Willis Hunting on the roster, an argument could be made to support the notion that Parsons is even more important than Lovemaker. Parsons is one extraordinary wrecking ball. He’s so dominating, he makes wankers like Valentine and Nixon look like shutdown corners.

Fate’s in Love’s hands now. How he plays moving forward will determine the end game of the season.

Don't need no stinking Viagra - got a beautiful wife 38 years younger than me who keeps me young, and I don't just mean tennis hahahaha.

Did you notice that after Parsons went down, the Packers pass rush seemed to get better? Maybe Denver was doing something different or whatever, but they sure seemed to put more pressure on Nix. We've got a helluva lot of pass rush talent even other than Parsons going forward. On the other hand, the offense is pretty stagnant without Watson. Yeah, Love is extremely great, and Willis is damn good as a backup too. Their mobility is exactly what the Packers need, given the crap O Line we have. Golden is the only other speed guy, and while aI wouldn't quite label him a bust, he has definitely been a disappointment, seemingly playing a lot slower than his supposed speed/40 time. Watson is not only a deep threat, but he has been the most reliable possession guy after Kraft got hurt.

Bottom line: I agree that how Love plays will determine the how the rest of the season goes - even with our lame-assed O Line and pathetic DBs.

Two more things: I have to wonder why Hafley - who I still generally have a good opinion of - didn't give help to those poor pathetic Corners. Valentine and worse yet Nixon did NOT look anything like shutdown Corners despite the good pass rush - hurrying but not getting to Nix. What I would like to see is using Cooper in the Parsons role - I bet he would do as good or better, and McDuffie, the way he has been playing, would probably do near as good as Cooper. Cooper has mostly been less effective this year with Parsons than he was last year.
