Saturday games always feel off. Likely many of us plan our fall and winter schedule around Sundays. Can’t be too far from a way of knowing what the score is or the final result. As the season progresses we get our hopes very high or very low. Never seems to be some happy middle of contentment. The most likely reality is the season won’t end well which has been the case every year there is not a championship won. Well, that’s the point of all this for me at least.
If we as fans get so invested, it must be very hard as a player having all your hard work not materialize. This season has been a hell of a ride. Very promising start with some very big disappointments has made it feel like more than four losses. Plus that damn tie! But somehow someway with the nine wins, the Packers are still in contention for the number one in the division and even the conference. Today’s game is when that changes one way or the other. This is finally a real must win. Losing makes playoff elimination possible and kisses the division goodbye. Couldn’t have come at a worse time with all the major injuries. Just how life goes it seems.
Can the defense stop that slippery mofo Caleb from running all over the place and making wild plays? Can the offense move the ball without Watson stretching the field? Can Love make enough plays with all the pressure? I’m not the analyst so many of you are but do have concerns. We will ride it out together because the fat lady has not sang for 2025.
