The NFL is suspending Steelers WR DK Metcalf two games without pay for physically confronting a Lions fan during Sunday’s win at Detroit, per sources.

Metcalf, who had reported the same fan to security last season, plans to appeal.

So this is the first time I've noticed this,

On Christmas Day 2025 the scheduled NFL games are as follows:

Early game: Cowgirls vs Commandos on NetFlix

Mid Afternoon game: The Loins vs NotKings also on NetFlix

        and then
Night game: BrownCows vs Chefs on Amazon Prime
So unless you live in a home market for one of those teams, there is no Christmas NFL OTA broadcast.
(OTA meaning Over The Air - as in regular-ass TV, like with an antenna, no subscription necessary, old school, free to tune in)

Is this the first time there has been no OTA NFL national broadcast on Christmas since the NFL started doing Christmas games?

Is this the first time there has been no OTA NFL broadcast when 3 or more games were scheduled? Like early, afternoon and night?

        Inquiring minds wanna know.

Probably won't get any help from Vikings when they play Lions Thursday. JJ McCarthy out with stress fracture in throwing hand. Will be replaced by Max Brosmer. He started 1 game earlier in the season and threw 4 INT's in a 26-0 loss to Seahawks.

Detroit had to try to lose to the Vikings this week. Fortunately they tried really hard.
