I am trying to figure out MiLFs logic. Was he gifting Willis a chance to prove he can carry a team heading into free agency? Was he proving to Gutes that Willis is actually more capable of carrying a team than Love? In his entirety of being the packers HC I can't recall him abandoning the run. His play calling last night caused fat mike to ask "you gonna call a run? You gonna eat that?"

I am more convinced than ever that we should lock up Willis day one after the season ends and trade Love for Myles Garret though.

Why, oh why, do we call runs from pistol or shotgun in short yardage situations. It doesn’t seem to work, the whole stadium knows it… so why do we keep doing it.

Next week will see Tune as starter and lots of backups. Really limping into the post season.
Especially since faking that handoff and sprinting to the sideline was almost a lock for the first down. Willis opens up things Love does not. I truly believe we would be better if we did the unthinkable.

It sure sounded like Willis was a one-man band on some of those drives in the second half. He singlehandedly made lemonade out of a cup of shit on a few drives. The offensive line was horrible. Larry McCarren was audibly moaning at the not even bad blocks - the whiffs. Willis was insanely good. Yet even with that, the offense was dog meat. And playing Jacobs at all was puzzling, as he's clearly not close to being healthy, especially when you've got a backup who has proven he can take the reins.

And if the offense was dog meat, the defense was dog diarrhea. I thought, before Parsons was hurt, that the recipe to beat the Packer D included short, quick passes because Parsons got pressure on opposing QB's so quickly. Turns out it also is because you don't need to throw long passes to thoroughly thrash the Packer defense. Just run the ball and run the ball and sprinkle in some short throws.

I was a defender of Carrington Valentine before, but no more. He was very Antuan Edwards-like (for you older Packer fans) in his turning down of tackles. He wanted no part of Derrick Henry, and on the TD after the Pack had pulled within three, Valentine gave up an easy TD on a simple route.

Sure, this team has had some tough, tough injuries, but this was not a team that was trying to outphysical the other team, punching the other team in the face. Nope. The Ravens brought the physicality, and the Packers succumbed. And that part's not about talent.

Before this game, I thought a stomping of the Bears in the first round at Soldier Field was very possible. Now I think they'll be stomped by the Bears. What a sorry performance this was.
Thats the reason they constantly try and replace Valentine with guys that can't cover. He would ideally be a nickel/dime in must pass setups.

He simply is enamored by a big RAS score. I'm more convinced than ever he was in charge of at least the Kevin King draft. Thompson ALWAYS drafted football players, but near the end we saw that change. TT wasn't healthy and Gutes was basically in charge.

edit: And you left off the undersized speed demon the ghost of Al Davis just drafted for us. Golden simply isn't that good. If he was he would get more than 1 or 2 targets a game.

I don't know what to think about Golden yet, other than I POUNDED THE TABLE for the Tampa Bay Rookie from OSU, who I just loved and Gute didn't have the stones to trade up and go get him.

I heard Golden has the best hands on the team; early on heard me was a very good route runner. But it doesn't look like it.

I think Wicks is gone soon, and maybe Romeo or Reed as well. It will be interesting to see what they do.

As all I know is, they HAVE to keep WATSON
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Golden appears to have the physical ability to be a very good route runner. But that's not the same thing as running the route correctly. If he's had problems with the latter, that may be why he's not getting targeted. The QB has to have the confidence he'll be where he's supposed to be. Fixing it will be a major priority in 2026 I suspect. Doubs will be gone. It should offer more opportunities for Golden, Wicks and Williams.

Gutekunst would be an all out fool to let Doubs go. Golden may be fast, but he doesn't seem to play fast. Wicks increasingly seems to be kinda worthless. And Savion, who knows. He really hasn't shown much either.

2019-2021 Packers were 16-2 in regular season after Thanksgiving. 2022-2023 were 8-4. 2024-2025 were/are 3-6. Not the way you want to go into playoffs.

Might as well back into the playoffs for a change. Getting there hot didn’t do shit for the Packers in recent seasons.

If the Packers are healthy at the dance and they stop self-destructing, they have a chance at winning the heart and mind of the prom queen or king. That being said, I am gonna put $500 on whichever team the Packers play.
