Quite possible.Originally posted by SudsMcBucky View PostI think the biggest reason they didn't offer the extension is because he'd get lumped in with salaries of ALL LB'ers. Not a head coach, but thankfully, Jerry Jones got rid of his defensive coordinator, piece of shit Eberflus - who brought loser Bear culture to the Cowboys.
As I said, there are a lot of good former DCs among the guys listed as on the hotseat. Likely, Jones will pick up one of them.
Similarly, if Hafley moves on, not exactly a horrible scenario for the Packers - I see him as good, but maybe overrated, Aaron Glenn or a couple others would looks good as Packers DC.What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

Sounds like Stefanski will get several HC interviews. He should. It was just 2 years ago he won 11 games with Joe Flacco and DeShaun Watson at QB. No coach can really fix Cleveland.I can't run no more

Miami HC might become available.Originally posted by Bretsky View Postwould REALLY like to see a "legit OC" come in here who can give the Flower some fresh and innovative ideas and challenge him.

I'm leaning against this theory because the flaws on the GM's part were obvious. How often does Tarzan turn into Jane. The NFL scrap heap is littered with great athletes who couldn't be taught football. If they could, they would have been great college players in most cases. Evan Williams was a football player who slipped because his RAS wasn't elite and he didn't attend a big school. Enagbare attended a big school and was productive but was merely an average athlete by NFL standards. Guys who check both boxes go top 10-12. We don't draft there very often. We need to draft football players who can improve their bodies in NFL weight rooms. Its much easier to improve strength than it is to improve instincts.Originally posted by Patler View PostOr has the coaching staff failed to develop players into the best (blue chip) players they could be? I only cite cases where I bitched at the time. I own my couple errors. I really like Andre Dillard coming out. He flopped. But my 1/2 round track record is better than Gutes and I don't study it beyond that.Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostAll I will say and I am not defending Gute here; it is a lot easier 3 years later to bitch about the draft and who they should have taken.
I will fault him for moving Jenkins to C and signing Banks. The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary -- Vince Lombardi

And maybe it puts MiLF and Gutes on the same page when it comes to drafting Morgan to play RG....maybe MiLF says "mmmm....not so sure".Originally posted by pbmax View PostFrom Acme Packing (thanks to Fritz for linking to them earlier, their website is a relief compared to the Gannett USAToday ad-disaster of Packers Wire these days).

Doesn't really sound like it. In fact, he is saying he will have a role in their GM search. Of course, he acknowledges it won't be his call, so might depend on what the New GM thinks of him.Originally posted by bobblehead View PostMiami HC might become available.I can't run no more

No chance. He's getting to select candidates for GM. They are all from the Shanahan/McVay/LaFleur tree except for one guy from Madison via the Eagles. McDaniels is safe it seems.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Wonder what Harbaugh does if he doesn't get a HC job. Before HC, he was a ST coordinator with 1 year as DB coach.I can't run no more

TV most likely, and getting paid by the Shemales. Harbaugh might be too old to pull a Kingsbury, who purchased a one-way ticket and traveled to Thailand upon getting terminated by the Cardinal Sins.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostWonder what Harbaugh does if he doesn't get a HC job. He's a super sharp offensive mind no doubt. I've heard Miami as being a select landing spot for Willis as they are souring on Tua. Offensive philosophy doesn't change considerably. I still think Pitt makes the most sense. They need a QB and won't be drafting in a position to get one.Originally posted by pbmax View PostNo chance. He's getting to select candidates for GM.
