He had bad knees. It was a shame, because he would have been a hell of a player.

Wasn't he mostly a camp sensation? I don't recall every being excited about his pro prospects.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

He was a stud in college but his knees were shot. Picking him was a gamble on how long he could continue before his body couldn't go any more.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Guter's and LeFleur's uninspiring offseasons have really ramped up the urgency for this draft. My guess is that they'll pick up a nose tackle soon - whether it's someone who gets cut, or one of the guys who is entering free agency - but will still need another down lineman, plus a couple corners, plus a tight end. And the Packers need instant contributions from most of them.

I'm not too pumped about the upcoming season. Not the way the team tanked the last couple of years.

I just remember he looked slow out there.

                @ThePackersWire

The Packers will host Georgia State WR Ted Hurst on an official visit before the 2026 NFL draft.

A Senior Bowl invite, Hurst transferred from Valdosta State in 2024 and became a two-time All-Sun Belt pick over the last two seasons. At the NFL Scouting Combine, Hurst (6-4, 206) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds, hit 36.5" in the vertical leap and covered 11-3 in the broad jump. In terms of size and body type, think Marquez Valdes-Scantling. In terms of athleticism, consider Hurst has a 9.91 Relative Athletic Score (with no agility testing).

Hurst currently ranks No. 85 on the consensus big board, potentially making him a third-round option for the Packers next month.

From Lance Zierlein of NFL.com: "Long-legged, vertical-minded wideout with the speed and ability to stress corners from snap to whistle. Hurst is quick to beat press and hit the accelerator into his route work. He has the hips, feet and balance to run a more robust route tree than what we saw from him in college. He’s an above-average ball-tracker deep and a dangerous catch-and-run option. The hands are average and he needs to become more assertive on 50/50 balls on all three levels. Hurst appears capable of surviving the jump in competition and projects as a “Z” receiver with quality upside."

If they draft a reciever with their 1st pick wtf, we need a End/DL and CB help way more than a fucking reciever. I get we are gonna lose Watson or Reed and need to replace but that is a year away and we need to address holes. I am starting to wonder if they are watching the same team that we are, I mean Parsons went down and they lost 5 straight games, is that not enough of a sample size to say draft an end and that was before the traded Gary

They are gonna lose one of Watson, Reed and Wicks, so they'll need a young one to develop. They have to be familiar with all players in that second round range because they aren't in a position to easily trade up and you don't know who is going to get to you.

That said, they could still do FA hunting after the draft. DJ Reader is said to be waiting until after the draft so teams can sign him without losing a compensatory draft pick. You have to be ready for all eventualities.

Cisse is #39 on the consensus big board and is going earlier than that in mock drafts. But you never know. https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com.../brandon-cisse I actually think 3rd round looks better for getting value at CB.

Matt Miller's new seven-round mock draft at ESPN provided the Green Bay Packers help at cornerback, the offensive line and defensive front, beginning with Arizona State's Keith Abney II in the second round.

                            Miler's picks for the Packers:

2.52: CB Keith Abney II, Arizona State
3.84: OL Brian Parker II, Duke
4.120: LB Keyshaun Elliott, Arizona State
                            5.160: CB Daylen Everette, Georgia
                            6.201: DL Bryson Eason, Tennessee
                            7.236: WR Kendrick Law, Kentucky
                            7.255: LB Kaleb Elarms-Orr, TCU

Ain’t gonna lie: For a moment, I was excited about Keith Abney. The name sounds a lot like Cooper Dejean and Riley Moss. Then I googled Abney and it’s some ole, same ole.

I bought Keith Abney's last two albums. They're all right, but there's only so much you can say about your F-150 before it starts being derivative.
