I think Chicago is going to have a rude awakening next year. They get the 1st place schedule next year. For there 3 “different” games next year they get PHi at home and Seattle and Buffalo on the road.

All the miraculous comebacks will even out and the Bears will struggle to make the playoffs.
    I agree.

The ball bounced their way all season long.

They have moxie, talent and a good coach, but they will regress to the mean.

We are whistling past the graveyard if we don't acknowledge that qb is talented, athletic and a gamer. I just don't know if he's going to last that long or if his play style can win them an 'Owl.

Uncool Pack fans made fun of me when I asserted that the Packers keep other guy, you know the guy who holds the Packers record for longest kick (Harvey?) over McAnus.

Hravisik went squirrelly on his second appearance. He's not guaranteed. Still on the roster though.

The other thing the Bear's offense needs is for Caleb to get far above his 50% completion rate early in games against good teams. There is more Favre in the NFC Central now than Rodgers
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I agree. Him or somebody similar with as high as a 3rd or 4th rounder, but just be damn careful with the choice.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

No. They have much bigger needs than a rookie kicker. Rookie kickers get knocked around. You just need competent there.

And even expensive vet kickers don't cost as much as a FA to fill in on offense or defense. This is not the team that needs to draft a kicker unless its a 6th or 7th rounder.

Might still be playing if they had a kicker who made his kicks. But yes, CB and OL are huge needs.

I'd be for it if there was a decent chance a rookie knocks it out of the park. But they tend to struggle. The Packers have been down this road before.

Having a sure thing kicker has proven to be pretty important for the Packers and maybe other teams. Whoever we get next season better be a damn sure thing.

As for drafting one, obviously the Packers haven't done that well. It can be a crap shoot. But if they see somebody - that Mississippi kid or whoever - that projects to be that damn sure thing, I say it's worth it. What else do we need anyway? A couple of Corners in the 2nd and either 3rd or 4th, maybe a mid round O Lineman, not much else. Free agency also should be on the table for some of that.

Well they do need a new kicker ; I kinda became very intrigued by this guy when I was looking at his range and accuracy. Looks like the college version of Aubrey.

Plus, Gutebag doesn't exactly shine with his draft picks.

It's clear Green Bay and Gutebag places little value on specialists on Special Teams. Maybe that should change ?

I'd say kickers are an exception to that, in the draft anyway. He's already drafted a kicker and punter as GM. Roster decisions about ST specialists are another matter for him. He's only done that for Bissacia.
